We were staying close by so we walked to the Gateway to India. There was some sort of celebration going on. Not sure what but I think it was celebrating a political party. Anyway we enjoyed the occasion. It's from here that you catch the ferry to Elephanta Island. Worth a visit to both these sites. Be prepared to have your photograph taken with the locals. They love having selfies with European tourists. Not sure why but they are thrilled when you agree. It took us 30 minutes or more to actually leave the site as it seemed everyone wanted a photo. We were happy to oblige but our faces started to ache with all that smiling. Lovely people.

I had the chance to visit CSMT, which is arguably the most impressive and beautiful structure situated in Mumbai. Never have I seen such a breathtaking railway station, a significant architectural masterpiece and one of the most ancient constructions in the city. Let’s not forget that is one of the best places in Mumbai to go. More impressively, the station's maintenance was quite impressive as it was well-maintained, and the eye-catching interior of the premises left a remarkable impression on me as the outside was equally spectacular.

What excited me most, however, was the potential of transferring from one platform to another almost effortlessly. One does not have to search for stairs or elevators because every platform is accessed from a single easy point. Now, all these features are wonderful because they make every interaction comfortable and effortless. It is really an asset of Mumbai as it has within it so many years of rich history yet is so contemporary at the same time.

Good outing and learning experience for kids who want to understand more about the Indian Freedom Movement. Very precise and well maintained place. They have small artifacts set ups depicting every important struggles and initiatives taken by Gandhiji to make India free. The museum also highlights Gandhiji’s contribution in South Africa.

Not a usual tourist spot but fascinating nonetheless and important to hear of this historic function still going on in modern day Mumbai.
Beware all the street hawkers, especially the numerous small children to tug at your heart strings...

Something of a hodgepodge of Indian art and history, but comprehensive. The collection of miniature figure paintings is fascinating for the unique techniques and immense skill required to render these creations. No air conditioning felt inside.

I went without my mobile phone and other valuables. I took a little pocket money. It is sad to see how some of India’s poorest people live. Here I got a good haircut for 100 INR. Going solo, I felt unsafe.

Crawford market is one of the best places if you are going shopping either wholesale or retail. The place is crowded since 11 am till 9 pm with lots of people who come from suburban areas and different parts of India to buy products to resale them in their own area. Also a lot of locals looking for discounted products for their day today use. You everything from pin to pet animals, food items decorative items chocolates, nits dates, fruits vegetables. You name it they have it. Only thing is to find them due to its vast area which is covered, also it is adjacent to Bhuleshwar market.
What is more exciting is the pace of business being done from this area.
