It is a must see and agreed with a previous review that the place is super crowded. We went during a festival when they were projecting the history of India on the gateway, with music. It was amazing.

A street famous for shopping clothes, accessories, toys etc. Do bargains to get some good deals. There are a lot of road size stalls and some stores as well.

It was very nice. Booking can be done online and onsite. One can book for persons as well as vehicles. Vehicles can drive into the M2M ferry. one can remain inside ones car or move out to the open decks. Snacks are available in enclosed airconditioned sitting area. Around two or three trips per day and per one way. Little more on Papu Mashi The Nomad , title, "Birds & Breeze off the Coast of Mumbai.

Best place to buy fresh fish at a very economical price with lots of varieties.
But you have to be there by 5 am so that you don't miss any of your favorite fishes.

Quite an oasis given how much of a concrete jungle Mumbai is. May not compare that favourably with gardens in other cities that have more space, but certainly not to be scoffed at. Great sea view!

It is the entrance to naval base and hence is high security area. Entry is prohibited and so is photography. Near the gate at the traffic round about is a nice piece of sculpture sculpted from the material recovered from India's first air craft carrier INS Vikrant (commissioned in 1961 at Belfast )

Tends to be a very busy and crowded area during most of the day. Lots of sightseers and tourists looking fir souvenirs and goods at discounted prices. The quality of goods offered is higher than the larger market area close to the main railway station.

The statue is located at the back of the Gateway of India. It was covered and seemed to be under construction so it would have been easy to miss. It didn't seem you were able to get into the garden to get a closer view of the statue. It is quite an interesting looking statue with the person on top of a horse.

Walking down the market is an experience, particularly when it is really busy. The stalls on either side of the footpath mean there is only a small path for pedestrians to walk along, going in both directions. It is really bustling at night and really busy, so getting around can get quite tiresome. It's nice to try a few times but it does get a bit annoying after having to do it multiple times.
The variety of stalls was quite interesting and there were also shops which were open. You do need to manoeuvre a bit to get into the entrance of the stores. It is worth trying it once just to experience it but just be wary of pickpockets as you do get quite close to other people.
There is also a food market just off the main street which was interesting.
