It was very nice. Booking can be done online and onsite. One can book for persons as well as vehicles. Vehicles can drive into the M2M ferry. one can remain inside ones car or move out to the open decks. Snacks are available in enclosed airconditioned sitting area. Around two or three trips per day and per one way. Little more on Papu Mashi The Nomad , title, "Birds & Breeze off the Coast of Mumbai.

A pretty great experience in terms of flying initially.

Thanks to Blade India for all the arrangements.

Specially, I would like to thanks Derwin, as he briefed us at the helipad with a polite gesture.

Secondly, thanks to capt pawan for making the trip memorable.

Further more, Rizwan was from the Blade India team who received us on HAL on a smooth landing.

This is it. This is the real deal, and the best tour I have ever experienced.

Firstly, Kumar's number is +919594291316 and will go out of his way to accommodate any size tour at any time of the week.

The reason I came to Mumbai was to see the places that feature in Shanteram and what better way to do that than to meet Prabaker's nephew, Kumar. A charismatic, charming, and incredibly loving family man who wants nothing more than to show you the real Mumbai.

After living in the slum for over 20 years, he now lives in a small village and he travelled 2 hours to meet me in Marine Drive. Together we had the best day I could have hoped for as a huge fan of the book Shanteram. We saw the Leppers Colony, Lin and Prabaker's House in the Slum, Madame Zhou's, the spot where Lin and Prabker met, Khaderbai's House (Though he was not called Khaderbai in real life). All the while, Kumar and I were sharing stories over a few beers in the hangout spots in the Slums, meeting old friends of his and opening my eyes to the real Mumbai.

This really is the only Mumbai tour you need. The day meandered through Shanteram stories to Kumar's incredibly eventful life growing up in the slums. I hope one day I can bring my family to India to meet him once again.

Lastly, I do not have social media, but Kumar and this tour desperately needs to have a wider accessible reach to more visitors and although I couldn't help him on Social Media, I hope that someone in the future will be able to help set him up with a Insta or FaceBook account to help get his tour out there to more people.

Thank you again my friend, I hope you enjoy the Whiskey!

This station has evolved into a major connectivity hub for Western, Metro and Harbour station. Crowd management has become better and helpful police staff were available. The station also has a good face lift. I, occasionally, used to travel through this station around three decades back.

We traveled to Goa from Mumbai by Tejas Express Vistadome on December 3 .
First the platform was suddenly changed from 18 to 17 at CSMT but announcements made were hard to hear.
Compartment was nice and spacious, but it was freezing as AC was at maximum. Why can't the temperature be kept arround 24/ 26.And the big glass windows can be kept cleaner.
The food served was bad,we get better food in Shatabdi expresses. 4 small cubes of Potato served as vegetable.
The sweet served in both the journeys was yellow and orange Sheera made in oil.Horrible.
On our return journey,at Madgaon station,we had no clue which platform the train was arriving and it arrived late. The train reached Mumbai two hours late.
No compensation to passengers for the delay.
It is an over-rated train. Why pay more when you can travel by Shatabdi?!
Monitor screens should give information about the route, places along the way and about Goa, instead of only showing train number and and name again and again by a voice and on screen.

Great tour! Lots of info. For Americans who generally know little about India, this tour is a great starting point to your visit. Wear comfortable walking shoes, a hat and sunglasses!

The Mumbai Central Train Station is a very easy and budget friendly way to travel to Ahmedabad. The ride is slightly under 7 hours, and if you book the air conditioned Executive Class you will ride more comfortably. The other class is crowded, hot and does not offer the same service. The Executive Class allows a reasonable early access, a four course meal, and overall cleanliness if you ride the Tejas Express. The Tejas Express costs about $30 USD or $2200 - $2500 INR one way. The rates can vary for no reason at all. I traveled to Ahmedabad twice this week, and there was about an $300 INR price difference for the same exact time on different weekends. There are also tons of vendors you can get treats from before your departure. The first course is severed about an hour into the ride, and you get tons of Indian treats and the option to get a hot beverage. You can take naps in between the food service and the staff will bring you whatever course you missed. The second course is hot soup with an Indian croissant, the third course is the main entree which is vegetarian or a buttered chicken meal, and ice cream is the final course. You have about 2 hours after the final course before you arrive to the Ahmedabad Train Station. I would highly suggest bringing a device that doesn't require wifi, especially if traveling with children. Although, there are monitors on all the seats, they were never turned on during either of my trips from Mumbai Central Train Station (MMCT) to Ahmedabad Train Station. The same commercials repeat for about 7 hours on one large screen. If you have an old portable DVD player that is battery operated, then bring it. I had an Indian based cell plan, and still couldn't use my phone. Others were able to, and played music out loud to allow the time to pass. I also quickly learned that if you take any train in Executive Class, the meals are identical to the Tejas Express.
Not sure if the four course meal main entree ever changes. Also make sure you have correct change to tip train porters. There are tons of taxis once you arrive to your train stop. Overall very nice trip with bumps here and there. No safety or theft issues.

Leaves CSMT at 1605 hrs and reaches Pune at 1910 hrs. Total journey time is 3 hrs 5 mins. Most of the time the train runs in time. It halts only at Dadar and Kalyan. Doesn't stop at Karjat for Back Engine. I would like to mention here specially about food services which is not mentioned anywhere which is provided in Chair Car of this train. Even though you opt for NV you will get only veg food. And what is most important that the food is totally satvik. Most of the items are Jain i.e without onion and garlic. On alighting train, one bottle of Rail Neer water is given to you free along with one newspaper. After Kalyan Junction you are given food which comprises One Apple Juice Tetra Pack, One Kachori (Jain- NONG), One packet of diet chiwda (Contains Onion and garlic), One sachet of ketchup (Jain - NONG), One small packet of Three Chaklis (Jain - NONG) and one sachet of ready mix of Masala Tea. You also have option of Coffee but in that case you won't get Tea! For extra tea or coffee you need to pay 20 rupees extra.

Internally the train is clean. The washroom doors are circular sliding so little difficult to open. However the washroom is very big. Only one washroom in one compartment. No external basins which is a drawback. I personally observed that the train doesn't run above 110 kmph but it doesn't matter as it reaches Pune in time. Overall the journey is good. One time experience. But personally I like Deccan Queen.

The fair of CC is somewhere around 650. The train also has no facility of auto upgradation to higher class even if there are vacant seats.

    Thank you.

We had a great tour with a great guide who showed us some of the sights of Mumbai in 4 hours. Among others the Gateway of India, the Ghandi house, the laundry in the slums and the hanging gardens. It was an amazing experience and is absolutely recommended.

We usually opt for Pranaam services considering we have a small 4 year old son to travel with. Previously had great interactions n experiences.

This time - i wasnt wowed by the guest relations person. The porter Omkar was very professional and did a Great Job. But didnt feel any warmth or kindness or concern towards me or my son in the Guest relations Contact at all.
