- nrm77London, UK1,068 contributionsAt the outset, the Lokhandwala Lake is quite small and non touristy, so tourists to Mumbai probably won't have it on their radar and rightly so. It is more swampy than lake like. But there is a noble initiative by the local residents to revive the lake and to make it more pleasant. As such the lake is not clean or aesthetically pleasing, it just exists on the back road of Lokhandwala complex in Andheri West. But on my recent visit to Mumbai I noticed some birds here and I was quite impressed with the fact that at least the residents are trying to make something out of this small little water body.
