Boy what a building. Very very busy place. Worth having a walk around.
Watch out for rip off taxi fares from here. We walked away and ordered an Uber for a quarter of the price.
The toilets are an experience some European people may find a shock 😲

On a hot and humid Sunday morning, I attended a heritage tour of the BMC building opposite the CSMT that houses the headquarters of the BMC. I was totally stunned by the sheer magnificence of the structure, its architecture, the history of the building as well as of the city in the era in which Mumbai was a global port of local and international importance. A big thank you to Parvez Panthaky, of Khaki Tours for an enjoyable tour and to Khaki Tours for having curated this enlightening session.

During our stay in Mumbai, Abercrombie and Kent took us to the municipal laundry where many hotels have their bulk laundry done. Wow, it's really fascinating how problems are solved in other parts of the world. Of course this is not a typical tourist destination, but when traveling , it's important that not everything be typical. That's what makes a trip special.

Our guides especially Krishan in Jaipur was absolutely amazing. He was knowledgeable, polite, helpful and very caring nothing was too much trouble for him.
Our driver Manouj was safe, polite and fun to be with. He was always respectful, friendly and prompt with his service. If anything went wrong he was very apologetic.
The thing we found was nobody kept us informed about anything we had to constantly ask what is happening next if the guide wasn’t sure we had to show him the itinerary and sometimes demand to stick to it.
    That part was very disappointing.

I'm a Japanese travelling a lot in India.
One of my objectives is to visit fort remains.
I would call this place the worst fort remain I've visited in India.
I went there in the morning.
It's located on the shore along a poverty area.
Then, people use the shore as toilet ...
You see the view, smell and remains...

    It's a reality.

    I've learned something here.

The best place to see these magnificent buildings is around The Oval Maidan. On one side are the Art decco buildings and on the other side the Victorian Gothic styled buildings. There is also 1725 well that is revered by the Parsees. It takes around 2 hours for a leisurely stroll along the maidan pathway, soaking in the magnificent architecture. Go early morning around 6 am and you can click some great pictures. After this you can walk across to Kala Ghoda art district for sumptuous breakfast . No need to hire a guide . You can do this trail yourself
