Lovely place to visit, I wish I had studied more of the history before going. The architecture was beautiful.

The whole area around the India Gate is interesting. You have the arch itself, and then beyond is the war memorial and beyond that is the memorial to those who died in the Indo -Pakistani conflict. Everything makes a tight visual unit and is impressive. There is a parking lot close by for convenience.

This fort is massively impressive from the outside and a bit of a letdown on the inside. Some of the buildings look very worn out and in bad need of restoration. Still it gives you a good idea of the golden age of the Mughal empire. There is an excellent series of souvenir shops as you enter the fort that are worth browsing.

Located right in the heart of the New Delhi, Connaught place is a busting hive of activity. Before the bazaars, stalls and dining establishments sprouted around Connaught place, the area was all about Cinemas. In the 1920's it wasn't Bollywood and Hollywood shows that has the spotlight. It was built under British rule between 1929 and 1933. Robert Tor Russell designed this British Commercial center in collaboration with W H Nicholls. It is Circular and known as the largest commercial hub of its king in India.
It was named after Prince Arthur, 1st Duke of Connaught, third son of Queen Victoria and uncle of King George VI of England, who visited India in 1921.
The area in and around Connaught place is a shopper's Paradise. The Market is divided into two circles. Inner circle and outer circle. The inner circle comprises of Blocks A to F. All Major brands outlets are available in Inner Circle. The outer Circle of Connaught place consist of Block G to P having all big Show rooms.

A beautiful architectural temple. It was very crowded on the date we went and no social distancing but than Lord Krishna looks after his devotees. Wanted to eat at Govinda but very limited menu esp for dietary needs.

This magnificent street is perfect for an evening walk all the way to India Gate. It was especially filled with the spirit of national pride in the days preceding the Republic Day holiday in January.

This is, like most temples, this is quite a complex structure. There are many areas, each significant, which our knowledgeable tour guide explained. All of the locals were paying homage to their respective God, all sincere and quite dedicated to their Hindu religion. We felt safe inside with locals not even acknowledging us except when we got in the way when ascending to a specific area. No shoes of course and lots and lots of chanting and noise. We made a donation and hoped their Gods would look kindly on us!!! Not much parking as like all of these locations right in the middle of urban Delhi. Plenty of hawkers selling their wares to navigate, but just be stern but polite. Again, best get advice on what day you intend to visit.

I thought I knew about Gandhi but this place is so full of interesting facts. A real eye opener into the life of one of the most important people to be blessed upon this earth. His life should stand as an example of what we all should strive for. 10/10

It’s the outdoor market in Delhi. It’s the place to go if you are looking for a deal and don’t want to pay Mall process.  However, be warned you will to a degree get what you pay for.  Its relatively small so you will get around all the shops in 1 to 2 hrs. here are lots of stalls selling ladies clothing, shoes, etc as well as lots of food staff.  The stalls on the inside wall of the main entrance are all fixed price. It appears they are all owned by the same person, with different staff working at each pitch.  Every shop has fixed price plastered across the walls. In other part of the market, we did manage to discounts.  It’s a great place to go to do some basic shopping and enjoy some good food.

Khan market is filled with restaurants and cafes. These are mostly chains such as big chill, cafe Delhi heights, mamagoto etc.

The have good parking space. You can also get such phone covers here but they are expensive as compared to other markets.

The lane is a little congested so avoid during rains.

Really enjoyed my visit to both the temporary exhibition Roots and Routes in Jaipur House, and the permanent exhibition in the New Wing. There's also a great cafe on site.
