- Christo v3 contributionsWe were promptly met at Delhi International Airport at 4:30 am by Mr Amit Sharma, our driver and tour guide. Amit was an excellent and safety driver but also an excellent tour guide with a very good knowledge of India in general. All and all we travel just more than 2, 000 km in a comfortable car with AC. We can highly recommend Amit.
Our visit to the 4 cities ere each different but each with its own highlights. At each of the cities we were met by highly professional and experiences guides who made the history of the sites we visited, come alive. The Taj Mahal was certainly the high light of our visit.
Holiday Tours and Travel also assisted us in arranging a visit from Delhi to Macleod Ganj, close to Dharmsala. Once again Amit was our professional driver and tour guide. This was a very special tour for us.

The guide Sanjay was super friendly and very knowledgeable. He ensured that we always had bottled water, too. Sanjay was also super skilled in taking pictures of us (with our phones) and knew the best spots. After the tour, we spoke to the owner Zaid and he explained us, that he trains his staff in photography, social skills etc. The train ride was relaxed, too and we were especially happy to hear that Keeper Landwey will focus even more on sustainability in the future. Everything was taken care of for us they got us on the train and in our seats. Hyder Ali had cold water and Everything we needed along the way. He was thoughtful to bring an umbrella for shade as we walked around with our 3 year old. - delgrossBig Pine Key, FL8 contributionsAbsolutely do this. I spent three weeks in India and this was a highlight. Your western values may make you think this is the wrong thing to do. It is not! These tours are run by a non corrupt NGO in Delhi. They need your help and use these tours to educate and finance education for the young. Not just book learning and school like you imagine it but the dissemination of skills that you would take for granted or have no need for. The will take you to see the real deal. People with nothing. You should see it. These people will not resent you and they don't want your pity. They are proud and were just as interested in me as I was in them. Not that I am ignorant but I learned the true sense of karma during my few hours with these people. They are absolutely no different than you are I but are simply unfortunate. Learn from them and help them at the same time. - Roadtripper2823San Francisco, CA9 contributionsWe enjoyed our visit, especially to the Kamasutra Temples, which we had long wanted to see, All of our drivers and accompanying persons did an excellent job. There was always someone to meet us and that part went smoothly. Our tour was especially meaningful as we had an outstanding guide, Mr Prayas Badkul, who is very knowledgable. Unfortunately the road from Jhansi to Khajuraho was extremely uncomfortable because there was a lot of road construction so the ride was dusty, bumpy and there were no rest stops along the way. I don’t regret having made the trip but I do think Nikita Tours should let the tour members know the road conditions ahead of time and inform them about how long it will take to get there. - Catherine TEssex, UK13 contributionsWell Mr Sumit what can we say other than "perfection" from start to finish, a well organised tour, you should be very proud of your team, from the lovely driver who picked us up and waited with us to put us on the Gatimaan Express, to Danish who was perfect throughout our tour, he is full of knowledge, and is very proud of his country, our lunch at the Bon BBQ was superb, the whole tour exceeded our expectations, so we thank you and your team for a fabulous day out,

How could you ask for anyone more perfect? Jacky is a very intelligent and knowledgeable guide who is a gentleman in every sense of the word. He was respectful, helpful and considerate all day. He continuously asked me for confirmation about what I wanted to do and how I was feeling. His knowledge made everywhere we visit come alive and increase my limited knowledge of the history of the area. The observatory, city palace, lake palac and Fort Palace are complexand large sites and without his detailed guidance I wouldnt have got so much from the brief time in Jaipur. I was worried that I would be whisked from place to place with little information but Jacky’s itinerary made it feels like I’d spent hours in each place. Having lunch with him in the Green Parrot was delightful, real Indian food better than the Marriot buffet the day before. He also gave me a lot of information about Jaipur, it’s history, culture and economy. Being from the UK he also brought in relevant shared moments in history. He’s a great companion and photographer too if you are travelling on your own. All the sites are close to each other so easily do able in a day. The Great Wall of Jaipur is a smaller cousin of the Great Wall of China and still very impressive. The Fort site on the ridge of the hill is huge.
Unfortunately I didn’t find out until the evening before when I rang the company to find out when pick up would be that the train from Dehli to Jaipur isn’t operating at the moment. So I was offered the car tour instead. You leave at 5.am and takes 4 hours with a brief stop for breakfast, not included, and took 6 hrs to return , with a 30 mins stop for food, not, included, because of all the evening traffic. It is only 2 hours to Agra from Delhi by train..we had breakfast while going and supper while with ample bottle water provided. The organization and professionalism was great. pick up and drop off to hotel. Wonderful English speaking guide was provided. Ram was knowledgeable and personable and made the trip enjoyable.
We saw Taj Mahal and Agra Fort and a wonderful lunch was included. A guide picked us up and brought us to the train station. NOTE: Be sure to confirm that you received a 1st class cabin. I asked about it ahead of time and was told I had one, but we were in 2nd class. We made the best of it, but a private compartment would have been MUCH better. Bring your own toilet paper!! Also, as previous poster noted, keep an eye on where you are b/c it is dark when you arrive and the train does not stop for very long. We were met by a guide and whisked to our hotel for our safaris. The safaris were AWESOME! We saw tons of wildlife, including a bear and a tiger. The guides spoke very little English and they are zipping around like maniacs to get you to the wildlife, so do not expect a narrated tour as the trip description indicates. But it was fun and even seeing the villages on the way to the park was really interesting. We both loved it! The hotel we stayed at was great. Very comfortable, food was good and the staff were wonderful. A guide picked us up and brought us to the train station. We had 2nd class return which wouldn't really have been an issue except that it is the daytime and we had 2 top bunk beds with no windows and not enough headspace to sit. We wanted to look out the window, not sleep. Luckily, someone traded a bunk with us so we shared a bottom and were able to look out and make the 7 hour trip go faster. They had another guide and car meet us at the Delhi station and bring us back to our hotel. All in all, a great experience!
