The cooking class was the last experience on our agenda during our trip in India and boy are we happy we have done it. We learned very easy and quick meals, discovered what taste spices give and learned to do naan bread and chapati. The best that any profit of the experience goes to meals for people in need. Simply the right thing to do in all aspects. We highly recommend-we have already ourselves prepared the same meals several times at home.

My sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening with Neha. We met at the markets where she guided us around the spice and veg stalls then went to her lovely studio to cook. The recipes were so quick, simple and absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to try them when I get home. Thank you Neha for a wonderful evening. Lx

My wife and I are traveling the world and have participated in cooking classes in many countries. Neha’s cooking class has been the best one yet! There’s a reason she is the #1 cooking class in Delhi.

From the second we walked in, Neha made us feel welcomed and at home. She was very accommodating with our schedule and she customized the menu to our special requests. Her cooking studio is perfectly setup and she had everything cleaned, prepared, and ready to go. She also did an excellent job of explaining each recipe and all of the spices that went into each dish. Not only was she informative, but she made the class VERY fun! Her energy and passion was contagious!! Almost as contagious as Zoe’s (her dog), which we fell in love with.

We left with a full belly and big smile on our face. The food was delicious and we can’t wait to do a virtual class with her and our family from the US!! Thanks for everything, Neha!

I had cooking classes for a week with Preeti, she and her husband are very nice and extremely welcoming.

I learned northern, southern and street food recipes.

The lessons are well structured and easy to follow and understand.

Preeti sends you the recipes by e-mail so you can easily repeat at home.

I was intrigued but nervous to try street food so decided to give this tour a try.
This was one of the most memorable parts of my three weeks in INDIA.
Prashant was lovely but also so fun and the whole group enjoyed his company immensely. The food places ranged from really cool little restaurants to street vendors.
Tasty food and mouth watering range of sweets.
I feel this experience was well curated and could not fault it.
I would like to add that Prashant was one of the nicest people I met while in India and I could feel the passion and love he had for his job.

My wife and I booked this tour ahead of time from our home in Canada and went on the tour just a few days after arriving in India (this is my first visit to India). The tour was exactly as advertised with intangibles that made it even better.

We were picked up in the nicest car we had ridden in so far on our trip and our driver, Ravi Kumar, was not only humorous but also incredibly considerate of our needs by offering us water and asking us to tell him if we needed the air conditioning turned up.

We met our guide, Rahul, who is also the owner of Virsa travel, at a road side restaurant a couple of hours outside of Delhi. Rahul had an unassuming demeanor but his good humor and social ease was soon revealed as he sparked conversation and put us at ease while we enjoyed a delicious Indian breakfast together.

Our next stop was at a primary and grade school in the countryside where we learned about the state of the education system from the teachers there and got to communicate with the children using our eyes and body language. This was the heartbreaking highlight for me (in a good way) – life changing for someone who has not traveled outside of the developed country in which they live.

Rahul toured us around the small farming town and brought us to a family home where we joined the women in the kitchen as they prepared lunch. They are not accustomed to foreign visitors in this small place and the mutual fascination and desire to connect was palpable. The women had pre-prepared all of the ingredients but every step of the cooking process was described and shown. The food was authentic and delicious, prepared with love and rich with culture.

After our lunch and heartfelt goodbyes our driver returned us to our hotel in Delhi. A few of the things that we appreciated the most is that Rahul offered all-in pricing. There were no hidden fees (such as highway tolls or taxes), no surprise stops at carpet shops (but if you want that typical experience I’m certain that Rahul would offer it but in a refined way), and our North American needs were understood and catered to without compromising the authenticity of the experience. And, best of all, we got to spend time with the Indian women in an Indian kitchen.

The gratitude for the genuine connection and hospitality from this experience will always remain with us.

P.S. The drive out to the country is a long one but Delhi is a big city to get out of. If you want a breather from it, just for a day, this offers that and, strange though it may seem, being in the car in Delhi for a while is part of what it means to experience India because it is a common experience for the people who live here.

We loved our evening at Anjali's family home with her daughter and husband. The food was delicious and we will definitely be trying to replicate the same recipes when we get home! We were made to feel at home, they were all very welcoming and friendly, conversation was easy, and the time went very quickly! We would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who comes to Delhi and we would do this again :) We had good communication prior to the evening and they even got the taxi to pull up right outside so we didn't get wet in the torrential rain! Thank you!

My tour from New Delhi to Red fort and Raj Ghat was perfect……Fantastic tour day… Loved exploring Red fort and Raj Ghat. Knew lots of interesting stories about the places we visited. During tour went to lunch at a place in a metro station (Rajiv Chowk) area that was good. Thank you for a great day.

Preeti hosted my wife, friend and me to her home for a comprehensive vegetarian cooking class. It lasted about 4 hours and covered a bunch of dishes. She was incredibly gracious and patient with us. Her husband also helped us too. If you want to learn about real Indian cooking, and do so in a truly authentic environment, look no further than her service! You’ll get to experience beautiful Indian culture from a local family in a true Delhi neighborhood.

This was an awesome experience and the food was delicious! Neha is really flexible and was understanding of us needing to change the date of our class last minute. She also provided substitutions for dietary restrictions and if we couldn’t find the correct spice.
