Short walk with great views if weather is good

Kodaikanal lake is a place that cannot be missed.
Boating: You can take a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the scenic views.
Cycling: You can hire a cycle and cycle around the lake.
Horse riding: You can go for a horse ride around the lake.
Walking: You can simply walk around the lake and enjoy the fresh air and scenery.
The best time to visit the lake is during the evening, when the crowds are smaller and the light is better for photography. There are different shops and stalls around the lake where you can buy food and souvenirs. Be prepared for big crowds, especially during the weekends and holidays. Overall, Kodaikanal Lake is a beautiful place that is worth visiting if you are in Kodaikanal. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery, and there are a variety of activities to keep you entertained.

A beautiful lake, well protected inside the dense forests, but needs to be well preserved. Though the awareness signboards are there, people should realise the usage of plastics and cans to be carried back and should not feed the monkeys.
Such a calm and serene place cannot be spoiled by human negligence.

This place is located at kodaikanal. It shows formations of rock. If the fog is thick, you may not be able yo see it. But a nice place to visit.

The journey to get there is scenic and we are blessed with a view of the colorful village seated atop a vast spread of paddy field. The village itself is authentic and far from a tourist trap, ideal for watching local lives.

The dolphin nose view was breathtaking and it had an excellent view. but the way to it was very hard to climb. People with good stamina can climb up to the dolphin nose. Especially kids will enjoy it. On the way we enjoyed passion fruit from a road side shop. It was excellent in taste.

I had the opportunity to visit on a Shashti so got to see Vibhuti alankaram. The temple is open on sunday and throughout the day. But the fields where Kurinji flowers used to bloom (that I have seen over 30 years ago) are sadly gone. You can find shops selling wooden , beaded and metal items nearby but nothing that you will not find in a big city.

It's a 150+ year old church dedicated to Lady Saleth. The church looks quite pretty with the blue color. It is situated on the hill and gives really good panaromic views of the city.
