Not that that spoiled the visit, on the contrary the atmosphere: reverential, calm; made the experience almost dreamlike. I wandered freely around the complex and saw the wonderful work they do here.

The shooting of 1500 rounds by General Dyers squad at unarmed civilians gathered in peace, left 1200 people dead and wounded. The well took away over 500 lives; bullets marks on walls; all testament to the horror and tragedy of Amritsar protests during British rule of draconian laws and humiliating rules. The garden is well preserved, no tickets, with audio visual presentations. Savour the era foregone of colonialism and the country wide diverse expressions of resistance often met with hanging or imprisonment and violence & beating. You may have to push your way through the crowds, you may have to queue for long times but it's worth it. - Zuzzana BHelsinki, Finland3 contributionsI recently visited the Wagah Border and had an amazing experience, thanks to Mr. Dilmeet Singh, whom I connected with through a website. He was extremely helpful in managing VIP passes for us, making the whole event much more comfortable and memorable. The ceremony was a sight to behold, and having VIP access allowed us to enjoy it from a great vantage point without any hassle.
Afterward, Mr. Dilmeet took us to a wonderful restaurant for dinner, which was the perfect way to end the day. His local knowledge and hospitality made our trip truly special. I would highly recommend his services to anyone visiting the Wagah Border! - Sightsee663441758144 contributionsIncredible fun and we learnt so much about farm life in the Punjab. We were greeted with drumming and danced together along the street to the Maan family’s home. We sat and ate pakora and drank chai tea. The tractor ride with pumping music was super fun. We milked a cow and walked through the fields where we learned about rice farming as well as the challenges that the region face in 2023. We then tried on local clothes before eating a delicious lunch. The family were so warm and hospitable. We stayed at multiple Hotels which was booked by our agency Travellouge and it was a reasonable pick.
