As a solo traveler to Amritsar, my experience at the Wagah border was truly amazing, thanks to Narinder, the guide. His deep knowledge and engaging storytelling brought the history and significance of the border to life, making the visit both educational and enjoyable. Narinder's friendly and approachable demeanor made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the tour. His dedication to providing a memorable experience was evident, and I left with a greater appreciation for the Wagah border, all thanks to Narinder's excellent guidance.

We booked our honeymoon trip to Shimla through Himachal ByLocals.
What a lovely experience I had.Himachal ByLocals staff was very very professional and They arranged everything for me so I didn’t have to bother much. I was traveling with my wife. They made the entire experience comfortable. The guide Mr Thakur was simply excellent. Very professional and highly knowledgeable. Worth every single penny and absolutely loved the experience. They also share some of the amazing places to eat and try the local food. Thanks a lot Himachal Bylocals for making this trip very memorable.

My full day trip to Amritsar was nothing less than magical . Special shout out to Amrit who was the tour captain. He is extremely knowledgeable and is so passionate about what he does and that’s the trait of a true tour captain. He is punctual, friendly and would make you feel so comfortable. The entire itinerary is so well thought, village farm experience is just cherry on the cake. You will get to hear some amazing historical facts and stories. Trust them and Amrit for an offbeat experience, with a taste of heritage, spirituality, & adventure. Would highly recommend for solo female travellers too.

    "Energetic and Patriotic"
"The Wagah Border ceremony was both energetic and patriotic. The soldiers' high-energy performances and the crowd's enthusiasm made for a thrilling event. The atmosphere was electric. Despite the large number of visitors, the event was well-managed. Arriving early is essential to get a good view."

Narinder bhaiya is one of the best tour guides I ever had. He is so friendly and you can easily get a long with him. You would feel like your were just hanging out with a friend. We learned a lot of informations coz of him. I have tried Wagah Border and Golden Temple tour with him during the 1st day, had a cultural Punjabi village tour in my 2nd day and I super loved it! It was my fav activity that I did in Amritsar. Thank you so much for the wonderful trip with you, Narinder Bhaiya! Super worth it and highly recommended.

    "Vibrant and Patriotic"
"The Wagah Border ceremony was vibrant and patriotic. The soldiers' synchronized movements and the crowd's enthusiastic cheers created an electrifying atmosphere. The event was well-coordinated, though the seating could be better. Arriving early is essential."

A low-key alternative to most days in a large Indian city. Communication with the tour operator (Triptivo) was haphazard, and I finally had to reach out to them, then received an email with the wrong pick-up time. However, Taxi driver picked me up at 9:30, drove about 30 km. to a lovely farm and farmstay N. of Amritsar. There the host (Jeet?) welcomed me, offered some chai, we toured his farm (and sampled some of his produce), walked the nearby village, probably typical of many in that region; I plowed part of his field on his small tractor; and had an abundant lunch -- perhaps the best Indian food of my entire 19 days in India, prepared by host's wife. Driven back to town by same driver. Altogether, an excellent alternative to another day in the big city.
