The visit to the Golden Temple, Amritsar was such a serene and spiritual experience! We planned the entire trip because of my 90 year old dad, who wanted to see the Golden Temple! Words cannot describe the beauty and the peace that you feel when you visit. The Golden Temple is a must see both during the morning and at night as both provide such splendid views of the magnificent temple! We also stayed for the Langar and did seva at the temple. The food at the Langar was super delicious and all the sevaks were very helpful - specially with my dad who was in a wheel chair. When the wheel chair we had rented started having issues, the temple management offered a wheel chair and also allowed us to keep the wheel chair for 4 days during our entire stay at Amritsar! Overall it was an unforgettable experience and we will always cherish the seva that the sevaks provided for my 90 year old dad!

If you've got some time to spare in Amritsar, this historic monument is well worth a visit. It commemorates the deaths of many hundreds of Indians at the hands of the British seeking to prevent independence. You can see the bullet holes on the walls.

This was a beautiful and emotional experience, learning about the history of the Partition and hearing the stories of those directly affected. It was beautiful seeing the clothing and reading the stories of how people started over. Would definitely recommend if you are visiting India to add this is in as part of your trip.

Set in midst of a lake this small temple is reached by means of a walkway.
If I have understood correctly this appears to be a temple for those of Hindu faith (statues of Ganesh and Hanuman suggest that). We were told that it is of particular importance at a specific time of year (monsoon season?) when those who have recently had children flock there to receive blessings for the health and prosperity for their future.
Personally, I much preferred the grandeur and beauty of the Golden Temple so would prioritise that, but if you have time this temple is definitely worth a visit.

I have been to three Gurudwara so far Namely Golden temple in Amritsar, Takht Shri Saheb in Patna and Shree Bangla Sahab in Delhi. I must say that all three visits created so much of respect for Sikhs. The amazing peacefulness, devotion and true spirit to serve in the of God just touched my heart. No hassles, no haggling, no politics, every person gets a fair chance to spent time their. Golden temple was the first of the gurudwaras and I would want to visit there again and again.

If you are in Amritsar this should be on the top of your "to do" list. This beautiful Sikh temple, notwithstanding the crowds of people, is so serene. You may have to push your way through the crowds, you may have to queue for long times but it's worth it. Do not miss.

Really beautiful gurudwara, same layout out at Golden Temple, though the sarowar here is quite huge. It’s tagged as the largest sarowar gurudwara in the world. The gurudwara is 45 mins by road from Amritsar and absolutely worth a visit.

Constructed under the chief minister Mr Badal 's time it is over a huge area and a huge sarovar. The Sri Valmiki Temple is imposing, but others are neglected. It is a waste of huge resources.

A very underrated place till you visit the place . We used a battery vehicle to see the fort. the battery vehicle helps to cover the multiple layers of the fort which is not possible with walking. We were lucky to have Mr. Bikram Singh as guide. A passionate young guide. He drove the vehicle as well as explained to us the history of the fort. A 7D show is part of the package. The video quality can be improved. Worth visiting . Keep 1 to 2 hours for a relaxed tour. But use a guide to get the best of the historical fort. Additional charge for using battery vehicle is Rs. 150/200.
