- DomBournNewcastle upon Tyne, UK2 contributionsPhilip our guide was incredibly helpful and informative about the history, fauna and flora of these mountains and stunning tea plantations. It's one of the best half hikes I've ever done. Beautiful vistas and very interesting to learn about medicinal properties of so many plants. Totally recommend this hike. You need a reasonable level of fitness but accessible to most including older children. One or two cliff edges so be careful.Written 19 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Lisa B1 contributionWe had a brilliant full day trekking as part of a small group. We scaled the hills and had a delicious home cooked breakfast followed by lunch and a long descent through the spice plantations. Sri was a great guide, very knowledgeable and made the day very special.I would thoroughly recommend this trip.Written 18 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lauren E1 contributionI did the afternoon jeep safari and we saw a massive herd of elephants! My driver Jijo was very attentive and made sure to stop at all the good spots so I could take photos. We also went to a waterfall, tea plantations and top view point. We could have done more but I wanted to spend the extra time with the elephants. Thank you so much I had a great time!Written 3 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bernard P4 contributionsI spent two beautiful mornings with Shiva.
One more focused on the tea plantations in the hills around Old Munnar, the other taking a ridge teether above the plantations. We left very early so we could watch the sunrise.
Shiva will explain to you the secrets of tea in this region, now part of Kerala, the workers who come from northern India and Tamil Nadu, botany things on the way, with scents that are sometimes unfamiliar, his work and his ability to adapt as much as possible to your expectations.
Here, you don't walk alone, as you share this marvellous nature with the elephants. Taking on a serious guide is first and foremost a question of safety.
But above all, Shiva is very friendly, which will make your trip even more enjoyable.
Many thanks to Shiva.Written 8 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
