- sammi sChicago, IL9 contributionsThis was just what we were looking for! We had coffee and a pastry on the street before meeting our guide and group. There are some places that are open before 7:30 AM. After meeting up with our group, we hopped on a bus for about 2 hours. Our guide was FABULOUS! They explained the country and gave fun facts in the process. We stopped at a gas station. If you didn’t eat before, this is where you should eat before the walk. Another 2 hr drive to get to the park. Once we arrived, our 2 groups split up (self guided/guided). We were in the self guided tour. Despite the bigger groups and rain, the park was beautiful! - recycledmonkeySarnia, Canada21 contributionsAmazing! A little confusing to start, they were supposed to pick us up at our hotel but that didn't happen. There were 2 different busses picking up at the spot more confusion, but once we got settled it was great after that. Lucia was our guide and she made certain that we were all accounted for. The day involves a ride to the top and a 8 km walk through some fairly narrow and crowed paths. The lakes and waterfalls were the real star of the show. One spectacular sight after another. The only complaint I have is that we were moving too quickly to stop and absorb the sight but with a 4+ hour walk down to the canyon, going to slow would make it a late night. The tour was also very good, there is a WhatsApp group to join at the start and most information is passed via that and also photos etc. A good way to communicate apart from in the coach sometimes when describing a passing battle field that I probably would have been aware of if talked to over the speakers but missed due to not receiving the message at that time. I am not one to go on tours, but this small group experience with Ivan really was the way to enjoy the park. We had a nice group, and Ivan had a great pace and knew how to make the most of our time. He gave us a lot of information about Croatia during the drive and while at the park, he gave us a guided tour. Because Mario was so familiar with Plitvice, he was able to navigate us around the large bus groups.

The stop was for 5 hours and it was a guided tour. This national park is definitely worth the visit. The guide was great; he speaks English very well, it was interesting to talk to him, and he shared some interesting information about Rastoke, Plitvice, and some tourist attractions in Zagreb as well. Our group was small - 5 people; I like small groups, so it made the trip even better. The car was comfortable. Also, the guide cared: when we were on a crossroad in Plitvice lakes, he asked if we wanted to take a shorter path (in case we got tired) or a bit longer. He has incredible knowledge and just a great guy to get to know over the 3 hours walking the lower lakes. We would highly recommend this tour. It’s hard to imagine enjoying our visit to the park nearly as much if we did it in our own. - Cruiser389027857244 contributionsWe had a wonderful day. Our accommodation host recommended Jadera and they did not disappoint. Transfer was quick, easy and comfortable. There was a WhatsApp group we were added to so we could stay in touch with our guide all day should you choose to go off on a walk alone which my partner and I did. There were only two routes you could do with this tour as you’re restricted by time (5.5 hours) however we opted for the longer of the two routes and had plenty of time!
For the two of us in total it cost €110 for the bus transfer (€30 per person) and the entry tickets (€25 per person must be paid in cash - much cheaper in the off season!).

The way he makes the tour is very good for everyone. You can either walk by yourself and meet up with the team later on at the trip, or you can follow him and ask him questions.

Easy to book, great collection options, on schedule and great fun and experience on the tour. Bojan is a very experienced guide and the trip was very informative and entertaining while seeing every inch of the attractions. Easy and relaxed atmosphere while on tour with good banter and conversation with the travellers.
