Using Uber, I visited this huge, beautiful park. Near it are several monuments and statues.I got off at Gate 10 to start my visit. There are museums, Planetarium, Japanese House, lake with big black swans, green bridge, vendors selling drinks and snacks.

Museu Afro Brazil: has 3 floors of interesting exhibits showcasing the African influence of Brazil. Entrance fee is 15 reales. Friendly staff and clean bathrooms.

Lake: I enjoyed watching the group of black swans as they passed by. Would have stayed here longer, but bugs kept biting me. Bring insect repellent.

There are bikes and pedicabs for rent. Bikers and runners have designated paths. Highly recommended to visit this attraction.

The avenue is blocked on Sundays, but people are still free to stroll about. Along with a number of eateries and cafés. Some roofs are open late for beverages and delicious dinners. Need to leave. Treat wallets and ostentatious, showy cameras with caution.

Lovely, well-kept workspace with lots of fascinating art.
The kids would find the exhibit I visited to be quite engaging and sensory. Not to mention, the usual display is amazing.

A very modern and clean stadium. I’m sure fans cheering in the stadium during a game would be electric. The bathrooms it seems are well managed also.

After visiting the Metropolitan Cathedral, I walked to this attraction. On the way, I noticed another small church and the famous, Santa Teresa Restaurant/Bakery that has been in existence since 1872.

There are shops and restaurants selling Japanese goods and foods. Felt like I was back in Japan! Took several pictures here and enjoyed the ambience.

Museum of Art of SĂŁo Paulo Assis Chateaubriand

The good thing is that we visited the museum on a Tuesday so it’s free. The bad thing is that it closes by 8pm and It’s our fault that we didn’t come early in order to explore the whole exhibit.

During our visit, there was a special exhibition of queer art for all over the world which is fascinating to know about.

The facility is great and the structure of the museum is amazing to look at. They also had a gender neutral bathroom and I had to double check where I was in the right one or not. Great initiative!

We went to the market late in the afternoon on a Sunday. Many of the shops were starting to close. The shops are great for browsing but are primarily fish, cheese, fruit, etc. So….not necessarily a lot of things for a tourist to buy. We had a tour that took us here. Otherwise, I would not try to get here on your own. The surrounding neighborhood is not ideal.

Great museum, located inside the Estadio Municipal Paulo Machado de Carvahlo. Most of the museum includes text in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. The few items that aren’t translated into English I had no problem using google translate. There’s also an audio tour available. At the end of the museum are a bunch of interactive exhibits that the kids and adults will love. Some of the items inside include a history Pele’s career and several of his jersey’s. Lots of pictures of Marta Vieira da Silva too. I enjoyed the columns by years… showing significant events that occurred not just in soccer during each decade.

I would definitely recommend this museum not just for the soccer but for Brazilian history too.

This place is nice for its arquitecture, exibitions, music, theatre and a whole range of cultural initiatives. Also, there is a nice and cozy coffee shop with specialty coffee and sweets. It is beautiful outside and inside and it is worth a visit.

A fabulous urban experience with great art, it is well worth crossing the city with its challenging traffic to see. Great food and coffee available, allow plenty of time to wander and enjoy.

The cathedral was worth visiting as we got a private tour for a small sum. The stories were interesting and nice to be able to go to the different areas in the cathedral.

The botanical gardens is really nice experience. While it is lush with green, using the free app allows you to fully experience the diversity. We saw plenty of flowers and loads of monkeys. We also enjoyed the cactus garden.

Fabulous. Some areas were being worked on and we still loved it. Probably better if you understand some Portuguese but i loved it without any. Very interesting, presented in creative ways, I will go back.
