She was spot on, from the moment we contacted him and his team, booking our tours, dealing with bad weather and the actual tours we did with him, everything went so well!
Thales is a kind, expert, safe guide, we had an amazing time with him at Pedra da Gavea and also Dois Irmaos. He was patient with the kids, told jokes, and our hikes were the highlights of our trip to Rio in July.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Ana Paula A1 contributionWe hiked Pedra do Telegrafo in the state of Rio de Janeiro, accompanied by tour guide Alexandre Nascimento. He went above and beyond his duties and exceeded our expectations! He is very knowledgeable about the location, friendly, courteous, very patient as the expected time of the hike was approximately 1 hour, but we took double the time to complete it as 2 of our family members became ill during the hike. He is 1st aid trained which came in handy :) , he waited until my cousin and sister felt truly better before continuing no matter how long it took, he showed compassion, and to top everything, he is an excellent video taker, and took amazing pictures of angles that stunned us! We were blessed and grateful to have had him with us!

The hike is for more advanced and fit individuals, the trail is mostly shaded by the trees, but steep, definitely go at 6am due to the heat, and definitely bring a good quality bug repellant, and lots of water. They provided transfers to and from the airport and also transportation around the city for my family while we were visiting Rio and we always felt safe and got to where we needed to be on time. We also did the Jeep tour through Tijuca National Park which was also a wonderful experience. Use them! - CarolinaTucson, AZ580 contributionsI have been lucky enough to be in Rio de Janeiro 5 different times in the last 10 years. I first looked around to see what company offered the best tour for a good price. The first time i called Rio Turismo Radical, they came and picked us up from the San Marco hotel in Rua Visconde de Pirajá. I was amazed at the great tour they took us in. We left at 9 am and saw virtually everything important in Rio, including the Cristo Redentor, Corcovado, Pao de Acucar, Downtown Rio, the Metropolitan Catedral, Lapa, beaches of Botafogo, Copacabana, Ipanema, had a fabulous Brazilian Rodizio, continued on and they brought us back. My second tour 3 years later was again fabulous, as i brought friends and family with me. My third year too. My fourth year found that Rio Turismo had closed for a little bit and i was disappointed to have to use a different company. This other company was awful and very, very expensive. Just two months ago i remember the owner's name. Gustavo Damiani and i started looking for him. All of the sudden i found him, wrote to him and asked him if he was back in business and he told me yes. I was so happy because i was taking 33 musicians with me to Rio and i wanted to use Rio Turismo Radical. It was amazing again. The interpreter, the service, the owners. I met the whole Damiani family and they are just fabulous. I cannot stress enough how good this company is. Take Rio Turismo Radical, you will not regret.
