- Wombling_Free_7548Bristol, UK2,176 contributionsWe were here on Sat but the queue was huge, so returned on Tuesday and walked straight on. We rode until the end of the line, at which point the seats were flipped to face the other way and we rode back down again. Right hand side on the way up gets the best views.
It’s an enjoyable ride and a chance to see different areas of Rio, but I would have been underwhelmed if I had queued for it.Written 4 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One is cash only on the left and the other is card payment only on the right. Generally ss you get half way down there are staff with mobile card payment so you don't need to leave the queue.
You then wait for the train to come. Sometimes they will ask if you don't mind standing - worth doing as you jump the queue and there are usually some seats available still. The journey takes about 10-15 mins and you get some ok views on the way up as well as passing some wildlife (monkeys/birds) You may have to wait part way up for passing trains. Once up most people typically spend about 30 mins then head down. Lift is usually a good option. The views are pretty spectacular from the top!Written 12 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bruno de BritoMunich, Germany288 contributionsThis a new Cable car to help people who live in the First Favela created in Rio de Janeiro called Morro da Providencia.
If you decide to visit make sure that u have not valuable belongs with you, NOTHING AT ALL, because around Central do Brasil there are thousands of pick pokets and they will really still everything that is possible...
Having a camera only take pictures when inside the cable car but always quick and making sure they are hidden on your pockets afterwards..Deciding to take this adventure make sure there is a local with you, that would make your trip a lot saver.
In a gap of 30 minutes i´seen 3to 5 roberies in front of me...
But it was an interesting experience...Written 19 January 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
