very impressive building which hosts many interesting exhibitions, not only from brazil, but also from other countries. we saw exhibition about the inca of peru.
Huge show of cameras and editing equipment that wasn’t very interesting to me. A few amazing printed and painted pieces. Two sculptures of any interest.
Do not expect (as me) an exposition about Roberto's biography or the Globo Network history. Even the house's furniture is not there. It is an amazing exposition of art pieces, that is all. It's a visit for 1 to 2 hours.
While waiting your turn to go visiting Corcovado you should pay a visit to the Museu Internacional De Arte Naif and let yourself be immersed into surprisingly good examples of Art Naif.
Both the Copacabana Palace hotel and this private residente were designed by the same French achitect. The Guinle house has been beatufully restored and is not used as an artistic venue for concerts and exhibitions.
This museum is one of a kind with an amazing collection of folk art. There is also a great gift shop/gallery attached.
There are also temporary exhibits. There are QR codes in each gallery that allow you to read all the descriptions in English.
Some of the exhibits can be made to move, so watch out for white switches.
There are also some very moving photographs.
It's way out from Rio. Allow at least an hour. You can get Uber, but be sure to use the complete address with street number.
Admission is "As you Please". Be generous because afterwards you will feel that this is such a national treasure, and you'll want to feel part of making this fabulous bit of humanity available for generations to come.
A really beautifull 1900s building with wooden floors and a an amazing lift that you can ride and get back in time, despite the building itself is worth going to enjoy the exibitions that they host.
