One of the last bastion of nature amidst the concrete jungle, straddling between Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur boundary. There're a few entrances to Bukit Gasing Hiking Trail. Our favourite are Bukit Gasing Hiking Trail Toilet and Parking, Petaling Jaya side or Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur side.
There're multiple trails for you to choose from, Bukit Gasing Loop, Fence Trail Loop, Abu Bakar Loop, Stairways to Heaven Loop, to the olde hanging bridge, or the Concrete suspended bridge. Hikes are novice to moderate difficulty. We typically spent between one half to 3 hours, depends on how many trails we tackle.
It's great to still find some critters along the way, scorpions, snakes, squirrels and monkeys were sighted. The flora had diminished somewhat, or the variety had retreated away from the trails perhaps.
Be cautious of slippery slopes especially if it had rained in the morning before.
