- Dinala_10Kiryat Ono, Israel116 contributionsWe met Elein and her husband (?) outside the Kyoto main station-we were looking for Taxi and they were waiting there with a big car (unusual in Japan). We used their Taxi service to the hotel. It cost just a little more than regular Taxi so we asked the hotel reception to reserve them for our departure too and they arrived before time. Elein speaks perfect English and they can both show you around . We already had other plans so didn't use it.Written 17 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Quack HHONG KONG2,678 contributionsGood means of getting around Kyoto. I usually buy a day ticket and you can hop on and off anytime any stops in Kyoto. - 2CAtravelersBrattleboro, VT832 contributionsAfter having done many hop on/off tours in other cities, we decided to try this one. On our first attempt, we were turned away because they said they were sold out. We made reservations for the following day when it was, of course, raining. We got on at stop 11 and the bus was fully enclosed so it worked well. We arrived at the main station, stop 1, and told we needed to get off and wait for the next bus 45 minutes later. It arrived and was one that was open to the sky for most of the upper level so they offered us rain ponchos to sit on wet seats. We declined and waited for the next bus, which was covered. It toured us around town with some commentary. We got off to visit an attraction. The next bus arrived a bit late but again was fully covered to protect from the rain. However all the windows were steamed up so you couldn't see a thing. Fortunately we only needed to go one stop more. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience and did not leave us with a good impression. We would say that all of the reviews with low scores that you see posted are absolutely true. Definitely arrange something else.Written 10 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
