It’s always important to acknowledge exceptional professionals who go above and beyond in their work, and Mr. Isao Tanahara is undoubtedly one of them. I highly recommend MK for private guided tours of Kyoto, Nara, and Uji. The booking process was seamless, with MK responding promptly to emails in English. They also offer a wide selection of new, well-maintained vehicles.

We thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Tanahara’s guided tour, conducted in fluent English. He was extremely polite, detail-oriented, and deeply knowledgeable about the historical sites. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone seeking a personalized and unforgettable experience.

Kimi was an absolutely incredible tour guide. We did 2 different day tours with Kimi and saw more landmarks and cool local spots in 2 days than I think we could have seen in 2 weeks without him. Professional, kind, funny - Kimi was the real deal and so great for 2 foreigners wanting to see all Kyoto has to offer - especially for folks taking their first trip to Japan. Can't imagine our trip without him!

The walking tour was informative and nicely paced. Ayumi was knowledgeable and entertaining, and very easy to listen to. It gave a nice overview of some history of Japan and pointed out some important landmarks.

The day was fantastic, Naoki-Doi san was a great guide and showed us many interesting places including popular spots and those off the beaten path. The highlight was certainly when he shared his home with us! Unforgettable day, highly recommend.

We decided to do a tour while staying in Kyoto. We found Takashi's information mentioned on a Japan planning group and decided to just book him on a whim, which turned out to be an excellent decision. Takashi spoke excellent English, was so good with our boys, took us to places we never would have found on our own. From sipping matcha while overlooking the most beautiful gardens to touring a 1500 year old temple that was practically empty, Takashi was patient and accommodating even as my son asked him so many questions. Even when we went to the busier attractions, Takashi's knowledge and experience led us to less visited parts of the grounds that yielded beautiful views and a magical experience. Takashi also appreciates good food and took us to an omurice restaurant full of locals that was absolutely delicious. The whole day felt like an intimate insider perspective of Japan. Many of the places we went to for the day were either completely empty or with a few domestic visitors so it felt very special to be there at these gorgeous but just not as well known places. Plus it was nice to just be driven around and not worry about a thing. This tour was a highlight of our trip and I highly recommend Takashi's tours for those looking for that intimate and local experience.

Went on a tour with Mr. Suzuki Yuuji on the jumbo hire, and he was very knowledgeable. English was fluent enough for general communication, only thing is that the website is all in Japanese, which would make booking difficult. Price is much lower than others. But overall it is a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended if you can handle the booking procedure (and remember to request for English-speaking driver).

Our driver-guide Matsubara driven us (7 adults) - 2 seniors, 5 adults and a wheelchair for a full day tour around Kyoto City.

It was an excellent trip with Matsubara. I would also recommend Matsubara to you and you could liaise with him via whatapps. We managed to complete all the itinerary for the day.

The convenience of traveling by car allowed us to cover a lot of ground comfortably, from iconic landmarks like Fushimi Inari Shrine and Kinkaku-ji to lesser-known spots that only a local would know. Francis was incredibly professional, friendly, and accommodating, ensuring that the tour was tailored to my interests.
