Great food tour, the guide was very knowledgable and introduced us to a few restaurants and bars that we would not normally have tried.

The green tea fields in Ugi were simply breathtaking. It was a trip off the beaten track and Daiki Fukaishi was an amazing guide. He thoughts are unconventional and makes an interesting conversationalist.

My wife, daughter and I were able to get both the Ikebana and Tea Ceremony Experience at Ami Kyoto. Kimiko was our instructor for both. Her knowledge and energetic presentations made us feel welcome and added greatly to our appreciation of both of these treasured parts of Japanese culture. We would highly recommend both of these classes for a tourist to Japan.

The instructors were so kind and helpful, it was a great experience! Thorough explanations and demonstrations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate but elevated experience of a tea ceremony!

So glad I did this tour!! Amazing selection of ramen and really could not have found these places myself. The guide was great company too, especially as a solo traveler.

Honestly, I cannot recommend this experience enough. I went alone and was so thankful for the kindness that the tour guide showed me as well as the people I was able to talk to a long way. We met up at the museum before going to one of the geiko Houses and speaking with an actual maiko and geiko. It was also a plus that they spoke English so we were able to really talk and get to hear about their authentic experiences🥰. Drinking Matcha together, laughing together, and walking around and learning together was a really great experience that I recommend to everyone. Tomato-san (your guide’s nickname) taught a lot of valuable and interesting information about the geisha culture that I wouldn’t have learned any otherwise if I hadn’t taken done this experience. It’s definitely worth your time and money to go. Not to mention the feeling of inspiration and happiness that I received from the makos and happiness after hearing how hard they work.

Uji is a very nice place to visit. The tour was good, covered a walk along the Uji river, tea ceremony and Byodoin temple. The best part is that the group is small, so easier to get around.
The transportation included is a JR train ride. The pace is fast, almost impossible to keep up if you stop to take photos.
