- ktari3Kyoto, Japan227 contributionsGreat little bar on the 1st (ground) floor with 2 more rooms up above. The barman (Nobu) was really friendly/easy going and made an effort to involve me in the conversation with a regular as I had stopped by on my own.
Good prices and a wide choice of drinks and they have a lot of local beers/gins too. Great location right at the north end of Pontocho.

Its in such a random location but totally worth the detour - have faith and keep walking! Had a great time singing with the locals. There is a 2200yen per person entry fee which includes a drink and table snack - it is totally worth it.

- Karin6 contributionsHad a lot of fun here! I had to wait a couple of hours to get in (Reservation of 3 hours at 5pm) but when I got the opportunity, it was so worth it! Staff was attentive, polite and super nice to be around. You're given your own private room (Unless it is the C- minus one), where you have the option to order food and drinks, and then belt out some tunes. There are many different kinds of theme rooms, so the experience is more fun! But, that being said, I kind of wish that they would have a larger selection of Spanish music, apart from the ones that they already had 😔. In total for 3 hours in a special room for myself was around $60 dollars, but the experience was so worth it! My friend dressed up as a samurai,sang and drank with Japanese people.Me too.
I drank too much,but I have no regrets.
