This bar has everything you need: an amazing vibe, great music, impeccable service, and a beautiful, unique setup. We found it accidentally while walking around the area and spent 3 wonderful hours there!

Shared about the history of Kyoto and was able to answer good questions and recommended local cuisine / snacks to try. His English is easily understood and very considerate. He helped the other travel parties find the transport to get to their next program. Good prices and a wide choice of drinks and they have a lot of local beers/gins too. Great location right at the north end of Pontocho.

The first time was around 7 pm; by then, there was already a 2+ hour waiting list to get a seat. We talked to one of the hostesses/servers who told us to come back at 5:45 pm the next day and recommended another bar we should check out. We took her recommendation and lined up the next day at 5:45pm. While we were the first group to get in, we only had to wait an hour to get in.
When we got in, we were pleasantly surprised by their cocktails; my wife and I had three delicious drinks each and had great conversations with the staff. The lady & gentleman who served us were excellent - absolutely professional, but also very friendly. - Hanako4 contributionsHands down the best night club in Kyoto. Lived in Kyoto for 4 years for my undergrad and I went to World soooo many times. The music is good (usually plays all genres) and the staff are super friendly and nice. They also get famous artists from around the world for a decent cover charge (I saw Steve Aoki and R3HAB). Would definitely go whenever I come visit Kyoto again. - Ian J8 contributionsI was 99% convinced I was in the wrong area as there is very little else in the area (but it’s not far from kiyamachi), but it has a seriously awesome, chill vibe. There are a bunch of standard rules for shisha places similar to back home (US) but not for the purposes of extortion. I would say this is the best shisha place in Kyoto, perhaps Japan, and I’ve been to about 10 places from Okinawa to Sapporo. Interesting place where I met with japanese and western people as well in a very friendly atmosphere. Some happenings there in theater, music and arts. Ben the owner, a french guy living in Kyoto for 15+ years, is very attentive with customers and can share good advices about the city. On top very good beer from local breveries.
