The driver spoke little English, however I have found this to be the norm for tours across the world (i.e. the driver rarely speaks fluent English beyond greetings and providing necessary/appropriate instructions/...
Thanks to Ivy for a simple and smooth booking and to Jackson and the guides and Annah Rais (Ringin and Maychee) for an excellent home stay experience The only negative side of the tour was when it ended-I commente...
4 Ways to experience it
Paradesa Borneo Kuching
I also signed up with Paradesa Borneo for a few other tours such as the Bako National Park, The Anna Rais Longhouse tour, kayaking and more.
We would highly recommend Paradesa Borneo as a professional Tour Company if you are considering booking tours whilst in Kuching.

Kuching Caving Kuching
We will be back to do further tours with Kuching Caving
I went on the Big Spaces tour and was blown away by the caverns, crevasses, stalactite and stalagmites tucked away in the limestone hills outside Kuching.
Garden Of Eden Valley Walk Gunung Mulu National Park
As with all other tours at Mulu national park the guide was really good!
A great relaxed tour and our guide was full of information on the cave formation and history, and she timed our exit perfectly to coincide with the bats exiting the cave.
Semadang Kayak Kuching
Our guides were excellent and treated us to a wonderful traditional lunch of chicken, okra and spinach A tour around a local village enriched us with knowledge of traditional remedies using the diverse plant life.
Excellent lunch provided in a local riverside village, with a post lunch tour of the village with the guides who took us to see a traditional style house and a talk on the local fauna and flora.
The company also does land tours, something that Scuba Divers can do during no fly time... Visit Gua Niah! =P It's really a nice place.
Racer Cave Tour Gunung Mulu National Park
You'll get the gist of climbing, abseiling, crawling, squeezing into narrow passages and it is what you should be expecting when doing other caving tours in mulu.
After completing this trip successfully you are qualified for the advanced Clearwater Connection caving tour which is the caving highlight of the Mulu National Park.
... Natural Reserve to see the orang utans, a jungle hike and waterfall swim, a homestay with Saloma and her Bidayuh family in a tiny village, and an all-day kayaking tour on a river through a national park.
We'd certainly recommend Borneo a la carte to anyone visiting Borneo for the first time and wanting a prearranged tour package customised to their needs.
Clearwater Connection Gunung Mulu National Park
This tour is considered advanced and for those who are interested in doing so, would be accessed by doing other intermediate caving tours.
The tour is for 3 people MINIMUM, not including the guide.
I recently visited Mulu in a group of ten, staying 2n3d which included 2 days of cave tours all booked with Borneo tropical adventures, the accomodation was wonderful, we stayed at the Benarat lodge and the food w...
Used Borneo Tropical Adventures and Tours to do the in country logistics and guide service for a 16 day jungle trek package.
We booked 3 fantastic tours and everything was perfectly organized : excellent communications for booking, adapted according to our needs, professional and friendly guides, great accommodations, exciting and multi...
This company truly exceeded our expectations with great boat and walking tours.
All tours (to caves, Cultural village, WetLand tour to long-nose monkey, to the island with turtle eggs) were PERFECTLY arranged by Agency, we heard many interesting stories with deep knowledge of nature, culture.
We have booked a total of 4 tours through Ooo Haa Tours & Travel : Wind & Fairy Cave, Semenggoh Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center, Bako National Park and 2Days / 3Nights Mulu National Park.
In short, we highly recommend the tours by James (Kuching Offroad) to both Malaysian and overseas travelers to Kuching.
With only a short period of time available as we toured Borneo we wanted to try and capture some of the "real" essence of the area without simply playing "follow the leader" to the organised coach based tours.
The tours were good organised and the work so well togheter with local guides: Madam Phyllis from Giam Home stay in Kampung Giam and the man from the village Begu, the send me spontaneous a Birthday song!
I scheduled 2 days-trip with Backyard Tour with my twin sister after I've reviewed the tours offered.
We coupled this tour with Semenggoh, James picked us up and took us to both activities and met us half way through out kayaknig tour with a lovely lunch!.
I would definitely recommend this tour.
We used CPH tours on two occasions while in Kuching and without doubt they added a whole new dimension to our travels.
One of the best city tours ever
Great tour!!
Interesting tour
Matahari Tours Kuching
Staying at the Damai Beach Resort had the advantage of a Matahari Tours office onsite and the competent, warm manager Judy.
We visited the Orangutan Sanctuary at Semengogh, boat tour interview the mangroves and also had trips into Kuching to see the various sites.
Later on our trip we would pick up brochures or read "what to do" guides, and found that Stephanie and Urban tours had shown them all to us that very first day!
She's very knowledgeable of the city and its history and of course the food is awesome too :) If you have a day in Kuching I can fully recommend this tour!
