#1 of 104 Sights & Landmarks in Takamatsu
Even in summer when the garden is mostly a palette of greens, textures, and shapes, it is well worth visiting for its superb design and great views.
The composition of landscape, lakes, bridges, tea houses, view points, the Sakura at spring and the autumn colors are all perfect.

This temporary exhibition was amazing and the views from the gallery at the top of the hill wonderful.
History, architecture and beautiful views

From up here, you get a lovely view of Yashima, Takamatsu, and the islands across the bay – including Ogijima, Megijima and Naoshima.
Some good views of the sea from around the temple too.

The view from the top is lovely.
The whole site is surrounded by them and there’s even a segment which extends out from the main complex and goes under a government building which has been built around and over it (no public access).

The view is first class and not very busy in weekdays.
