Thanks Tomo-san and Rina-san specially accommodating our group of friends a morning session (usually their class is held from 4-7pm) on our own so that we could best utilize our really short span of stay in Naha.
Tomo modeled the experience after a cooking class he had taken in Jordan and is super knowledgeable about all things related to Okinawan cuisine.
Ryukyu Mura Onna-son
There are also on site pottery lesson, wine tasting, drum show, traditional song and musical instruments.
I really recommend calling ahead if you want to take part in the classes.
Gala Aoiumi Yomitan-son
They also have lessons for pottery, salt making and even scuba diving too.
The salt-making workshop staff (Taira) was courteous and able to speak enough English to guide us through the process.
We took the coral-dye workshop and absolutely loved it.
I am so lucky that this Bingata workshop is located close to the hotel I stay at (Hotel Yugaf Inn Nago) and easy to find.
