Suntory Hall Akasaka

With its simplicity of the structure of the hall and the perfect sounds it store, I think it is the best concert hall I have been to.
Simply the best concert hall in Japan
Kabukiza Theater Ginza
#4 of 222 Concerts & Shows in Tokyo
The tiered theatre is huge, the performers are excellent (men play all the female roles) and the costumes in particular are amazing.
Located in the heart of shopping district of Ginza, the theater is close to the JR and subway lines.

I always love their shows, and enjoyed the sea lion and dolphins show again this time.
Great value so much to see and don’t miss the dolphin show both during the day and at night.

National Theatre Chiyoda
#7 of 222 Concerts & Shows in Tokyo
Bunraku was the revelation for us, a really unique theatre art form, and the Kabuki was spectacular.
But a performance at the National Theatre tends to be among the best so seats are harder to come by at the last moment.
Studio EVE Setagaya
#8 of 222 Concerts & Shows in Tokyo
Kazue and her lovely co-musicians also made the concert very interactive and enabled us to get a deeper understanding of how these magical strings functions, by inviting us to try and play!
Though billed as an ‘open rehearsal’, what we were actually treated to was an amazing performance, a private concert showcasing the work of the group and even a hands-on tour of the instrument, which is fascinating.
Tokyo Takarazuka Theater Chiyoda
#9 of 222 Concerts & Shows in Tokyo
Most Takarazuka shows are very family-friendly for older children able to sit through an entire movie and the flashy sets, costumes and up-tempo music of a typical show are a good fit - just make sure it is one of...

Literally just got back from the theater and was a great way to end an evening enjoying a fantastic show with casual drinks and snacks.
While all three are different shows, if you have time for only one show then this is the best choice.

Robot Restaurant Kabukicho
#20 of 222 Concerts & Shows in Tokyo
The show is fantastic going from a tradition Taiko drumming and electric guitars, to robot battles and laser shows, ending with a huge light song with everyone waving glow wands.
I guess you could describe it as a mix of Mad Max, French Varieté theatre and quirky J-Pop with real-life Anime characters.
