I experienced an excellent shopping thrill by finding this little shop at the Ginza in Tokyo.
I recommend this shop to anyone, as either gifts for loved ones or as a personal treasure.

What a unique store in the middle of the luxury shopping street in Tokyo.
Pro tip: red, white and black shopping bags are available for you to use between floors and check out all at once when you are ready.

My wife and I did our final shopping here -- and got small souvenirs for friends, all important Yoko Moku cookies, and some of the loveliest Japanese handicrafts - Edo glass and a hand made sake cup.
This is a lovely department store and although prices in Japan are crazy it's great for window shopping (and actual shopping if you can stretch to it!).
