What travellers are saying
- Cian B27 contributionsWalk the extra block and experience the humour from Stall #34. He offers a “no BS” approach and price. We enjoyed spending time with him and chatting about family and relationships! We did bought some key rings for the kids and be threw in some bracelets! He was no pressure, reasonable (no bs) price.Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Fanny Mila5 contributionsGuys, go there. Seriously. It's unbelievable. It's beautiful. It's amazing. The pictures will touch your heart. The photographer managed to let the people speak wordless through the fotos. You will smile back to this beautiful people. The information about all the ethnic groups are more than interesting and you learn a lot but not in a boring /school way. So once again. Go there. For me it's one of my highlights during my Vietnam trip.Written 28 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- omega132857Chichester, UK1,789 contributionsDon't you just love a street market. We arrived at our Hotel, booked in and all that. Then we decided to go for a stroll. Just a few yards from our Hotel there was the market. Very colourful, very vibrant, and wonderfull smells to take in. You can look at all the stalls, my main interest is of course, the food one's. It really is a good market with lots to see and there are plenty of places to eat, if you are not fond of street food, so do not worry, just enjoy.Written 14 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RaymondaleKuala Lumpur, Malaysia797 contributionsvisited here twice last year september when i travlled to HoiAn.this market incldued open air stalls and indoors market. heard that the food inside the market is great, so i tried a food stall, stall no is E050,Ms Gai stall.i ordered the famous cau lau noodle and white rose.also avocado juice. all were delicious, they have veggie menu too. there are many food stalls selling same food,so just have a try here, you wont regret. another day i came here for clothes and souvenirs.i visited two stalls, first i bought a small lantern, and some embroidered items, like small drawstring bags.another stall,i bought two shirts and a short. the shirts are printed in bamboo.but after washing, the colour a bit faded,so quality not good.also, even i try hard to bargain, the price still higher, not cheap.so only suggest you trying the food here,if want to buy souvenirs or clothes,go to any shops outside the market.Written 31 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Waz_SonyaGeelong, Australia7 contributionsI have previously visited and purchased 2 painting from this shop, both are amazing and I've only recently been able to frame and put them up onto a wall. Get constant compliments about how amazing the look from people visiting and how they could be in a gallery.
Will return again once covid is over to expand my home gallery.Written 28 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - t0nyw51My Tho, Vietnam32 contributionsThis is a gallery, but I mainly recommend it for the cafe inside where you can drink a wonderful cup of chrysanthemum tea in peaceful and stylish surroundingsWritten 25 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ShepFamAKAnchorage, AK30 contributionsI brought a high waisted skirted swim bottom, kind of a retro look, that was too big on me and was hoping I could get it taken in. I haven’t been able to find anything like it in my size at stores. (This is the down side to losing weight, I guess?) Even better than taking it in, she was able to make a duplicate in a smaller size. I also brought a dress that I love and she was able to copy it. I felt that the price was really affordable, I’d asked about the dress at another place and was quoted almost double the price.
The turn around time was so fast. 24 hours and she had everything done.
Added bonus- she was super sweet to my kids who were trying to wait patiently for me, but still being wiggly kids.Written 13 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - 409islandsNewcastle, Australia48 contributionsThis shop was lovely. - Lisa K7 contributionsWe visited the gallery (shop) in Hoi An where we bought some lovely pieces for our home - the woman assisting us was lovely and the items were shipped. Two items were damaged during shipping but Au Lac quickly replaced them with new items and communicated with me via email the whole time - what fabulous customer service. Highly recommend a visit to the store - such beautiful work at good prices. We will treasure our pieces forever. Thank you Hoa and Au Lac!Written 29 January 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- CLS1Leicester, UK40 contributionsWe stumbled upon this Art Gallery Museum by accident.
What a wonderful place. The work of Rehahn, a french photographer is stunning, and the ‘story’ equally as wonderful.
Rehahn is seeking out the 51 local tribes and having got to know them, takes the most beautiful photographs. He often thanks the people by buying them a cow, or a boat, depending on their needs.
This is a bit of Social History that should not be overlooked.Written 7 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Meagan F17 contributionsWe bought a painting here after searching many of the other art work shops. The prices were very reasonable for an original artwork by very talented artists. From small to large artworks the fixed prices ranged from VND300,000 (US$13) to VND 1,000,000 (US$44) This artwork will be a wonderful souvenir of our stay in Hoi An.
We didn't have a coffee but the cafe was really cute. Great place to avoid the tourist crowds and so something a little bit off the beaten path.Written 27 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Andrew SSheffield, UK786 contributionsThere are a selection of stone sculptures spread out on the bank of the river on the island side. Some are quite interesting but really nothing to wow!
