- Victoria E13 contributionsMy husband and I visited Tanzania for our honeymoon in February 2025. We hiked the Marangu route on Kilimanjaro followed by a 4 day safari to Tarangire, Ngorogoro, and Serengeti. Amos did an exceptional job planning a customized itinerary for us that incorporated everything we wanted to see and do on our trip. I was in Dodoma for work before our trip and my flight was canceled to Arusha so Amos himself picked me up in Dodoma and rode a bus with me to meet up with my husband. I was very nervous to do this by myself but I didn't have to worry about it because Amos took care of me which is the type of service he and his team provide. Our hike was led by Asseno who was an amazing guide. Everyone on the team worked tirelessly to get us to the top and they made the hike a great experience. After the hike we did a safari and we saw all the animals we had hoped to see on our trip. Thank you so much to Amos and everyone at Salama Safaris for an unforgettable trip. Amos even got us matching football jerseys with our name custom printed on the back. Everyone at Salama Safaris made our trip a great experience and it was also an opportunity to support a locally-owned small business who will work hard to make sure you get a customized experience. - AMNYC1988New York City, NY203 contributionsThe safari and stay at Zanzibar was a unique experience and a trip of a lifetime, Vinay went above and beyond handling everything to make it an enjoyable trip, nothing was overlooked, accommodations were first class, food was excellent prepared by well trained chefs, hotels were different and unique. He planned out side trips that gave us experiences that we will remember for a lifetime including balloon rides, plane rides, helicopter and individual tours. Everything went very smoothly down to the last details including all of his suggestions that added to the experience. - Piskun S12 contributionsWant to say big thanks for Charles and his team, for great assist during our summit to Kilimanjaro. All team: porters, waiters, cooks and especially guides. Team is professional and very friendly.
Safari was amazing! Driver guide show all hidden animals, so you feel as a hero of “wild animal” tv show.
Organization of all stay was made with best comfort for us. Hotels chosen with love for the client. All our trip stated from meeting in airport, transfer, accommodations, Kilimanjaro tracking and successful summit, we just trust to Charles and he didn’t let us down in our expectations!

All of the guides were extremely knowledgeable and I really enjoyed going out on the excursions with them. Everyone that I worked with as throughout the entire process was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. In September 2016, I actually paid to summit Mount Kilimanjaro from the Tanzania side in 7 days, but due to my wonderful crew actually finished and submitted the mountain in 6 days.
