What travellers are saying
- Ronaldo-2-224 contributionsGood place for bargaining on souvenirs. Has everything. Many stalls but they all share similar stuff. Cheaper than what you get elsewhere.Written 31 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- GenSafarisBayfield53 contributionsHouse of Gens is a great place to visit. They have a museum of all the gems and precious stones in Tanzania. Their knowledge of these is super and they give a short tour and answer questions as well.
Their selection of Tanzanite and other gems is superb. It’s a quiet private place to visit with good prices and service as well (not bothered by many others!). I had a custom job that needed changing and they did so fast and accurately.
They also have other locations, one at Gran Melia and another on the way to Ngorongoro.Written 13 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Margaret L8 contributionsWonderful, huge art gallery that was more like a museum than a gallery. The range of art was amazing and the prices were suprisingly reasonable. We had two hours to spend there and we could have spent a full day. Really wonderfulWritten 16 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carol1953_12Omaha, NE40 contributionsI was part of a group of 4 college friends (from 50 years ago!) who were traveling through Tanzania on Safari, and we had a day in Arusha before we left. One of our group booked this workshop and we all loved it! Very fun and educational, and the women were amazing. We learned some beading, and they helped us make necklaces and bracelets to take with us, and then we shopped in their retail store. First-rate quality in the workmanship, and it felt good to help the Maasai women. This is a highly recommended outing/workshop when you are in Arusha.Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
