John, our driver, picked us up “exactly” on time. He pulled into the parking lot and exited his car and walked up to us at precisely 8:00 am, just like he said he would. As we were walking to the car, we explained to him that our Cruise Ship had originally planned on leaving at 10:00 pm, but due to the Port Authority, we had to be back on the ship at 5:00 pm. We had planned on Snorkling and visiting the Gates of Heaven, but John explained we couldn’t do both because of the driving distance and the time involved . He felt bad for us, but offered to take us to a Coffee shop and a nice temple instead, to try and make up for the lost activity to the Gates of Heaven. He didn’t have to do that and we appreciated the offer very much. He drove us to the Snorkling area, explaining all along the way where we were and some of the history of the places we passed. He was very polite, very knowledgeable and had a great personality. When we got to the Snorkling beach he made sure we were in good hands and we eventually took off in the boat with 4 other guests, a guide and a driver. We had a wonderful time Snorkling and our guide did a great job of guiding us through the coral. He fed the fish and allowed us to do the same and pointed out some of the unique fish we saw as well as a turtle. After an hour we left and boated over to the Blue Lagoon where we spent another hour Snorkling under the watchful eye of our guide. When we made it back to the beach at the end of our Snorkling, John was right there to greet us and reminded us we had a free lunch we could eat. It was delicious Bali food and we both enjoyed it very much. When we were done eating, there was John ready to drive us out as he pulled the car right up to where we were standing, then jumped out and opened the doors for us. John was very excited when we told him we had had a great time. Then he drove us to the place that makes coffee and walked us through the amazing plants until he found a person to explain the way they made coffee and tea. It was a very fun substitute and we owe it all to John. We made the decision to only drive by the temple, but John was willing to stop for a photo or stay as we wanted, trying to make our trip complete. Both Cheryl and Steve had a really great day, and we feel John was a major reason for that. I highly recommend this agency and if we come back to Bali, we will be requesting John as our guide. He did an amazing job and we feel we were very lucky to have had him as our driver. He went above and beyond and our review of the day would be that is was well above our expectations.
