What travellers are saying
- MariamDoha, Qatar1 contributionOne of the highlights of my trip to Bali last month was Qi Gong classes in the yoga barn I cannot stress enough on how transformative the iexperience was.
I have struggled with finding a spiritual practice that helps me to feel grounded something that ADHD makes very hard to attain.
During my ten days stay I had three Qi Gong classes with the amazing Jordi Jules.
from the first class I felt rooted and felt the Qi in my hands throughout the day. I can not emphasize enough on how Jordi made the class easy and powerful for everyone new and I will always remember what he said “my teacher said you can not do Qi Gong wrong you can do it good , better or best”
I urge Yoga barn to make a Qi Gong teacher retreat with Jordi I will definitely come back to learn more.Written 8 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I have visited a number of wellness centres but there is something very unique and authentic about Amrastaddi. My stay was 7 day juice cleanse and 1 day rejuvenation. I stayed at the centre which felt like a small village. It is perfect for a solo traveller as you have the choice to be social or not. Also it's extremely safe! You have the choice to roam outside in Ubud or stay and relax each day at the centre. The centre offers yoga each morning (definitely do that!) and workshops to understand Ayurveda. There are cooking classes and rice walks The food is always fresh and delicious- most of it grown onsite. The doctors are tremendous. You have the same doctor throughout your stay who guides you through your personalised program. I have to mention my doctor, Dr Remil, he was so thorough, warm, well educated, supportive and explained everything so clearly. I never felt overwhelmed with the programme and I knew he understood my goals. Everything is personalised so your schedule and treatments are specifically geared towards your needs. The therapists were always warm, kind and caring, and would do their best to make you as comfortable as possible. I'm sure I fell asleep through a few massages during the week. My personal goals, of weight loss were met, and I have to say they helped bring back the fire in me after years of dealing with grief. My energy levels were restored and I have a better understanding of how to treat my body better.
The care and guidance from all the staff, therapists and Dr Remil was exceptional. Even the beautiful kitchen staff who prepare your delicious food daily know your needs and medication as prescribed by the doctors. Authentic and genuine - they truly care about those who go through their programmes. Amrastaddi is a wellness centre which definitely helped me through one of the toughest times of my life where I returned home with my energy and smile again.Written 27 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maria PHelsinki, Finland20 contributionsVery nice and chill experience. Been there twice during our stay in Ubud. We had fun and felt amazing after that! The class is quite challenging which is good. However beginners can always do the easier options. I recommend it to anyone.Written 27 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AmberUbud, Indonesia1 contributionTook the 200HR Yoga Teacher Training here at Radiantly Alive. Loved learning about yoga anatomy, philosophy & the art of teaching all in the beautiful yoga Shalas they have here. The biggest thing for me is the bond I made with the other girls in the training, It’s the 2nd to last day before the training ends and I know I’ll tear up when it comes to an end.
Would highly recommend taking this training even just to learn something newWritten 20 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Kathrin SBerlin, Germany170 contributionsVery good yoga sessions.
It is outside of Ubud. Whoever wants to have the busy situation in Ubud can go there in 15-20min (shuttle offered and organised several times a week) but this place is quiet and very nice.
Traditional life is well explained by the teachers. Good vegan food.Written 17 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I had the pleasure of being looked after by Augus and feel very lucky to have done so. I have had many massages over the years but Augus is the best. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, don’t hesitate to book.Written 27 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James WUbud, Indonesia200 contributionsWhat a great spot. For $100 AUD a month you get access to gym pool and a co-working space (although I do my best way by the pool). There’s a steam and sauna as well. Decent and well priced food. If you’re ‘living in Ubud’ for a bit they have a variety of memberships and it’s definitely worth the investment.Written 26 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The ambience is so nice especially for travelers who got tired of nosy spots. All staff are really friendly and I can’t forget their beautiful smiles. - candan tIzmir, Türkiye21 contributionsreally the title says it all. if you want to do yoga, this is the place. this is how (1) yoga is supposed to be, (2) yoga instructors are supposed to be, (3) a yoga shala is supposed to be. i am forever thankful to linda for this place. (ps: even if you are not serious or enthusiastic about yoga, go for the heavenly 5 min walk from alchemy and the magnificent view and the lovely ubud lady outside who smiles and sells jamu every morning and the kids who play with crabs in the rain...)Written 15 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HappytravelKuala Lumpur, Malaysia3 contributionsWe did 60min hot bikram and felt great after the class. The instructor was friendly and gave us good attention even though we were just travelers to the studio. I wish to try out more classes if time allows.Written 26 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Matthew Farrugia1 contributionI have a lower back issue, springs up sometimes, and when in Ubud flared. The massage at idas focusing on hips and glutes did the trick. Perfection. Did not need peace, needed healing, and delivered. Highly recommend for deep tissue, restorative massage.Written 11 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - natasha bPerth, Australia64 contributionsI had a tarot reading with Talis first who was charming and took me on a journey of my present and future, everything she said made sense.
I then had lunch in the vegan cafe - very yummy food, I perused the beautiful gift shop and purchased some lovely items then at 1pm made my way to the moon pyramid for the sound and light healing session. I've done sound healing before but this was a sensory experience that went beyond anything I've done in this space before. It was quite intense and amazing for me.
They employ an expert space holder and sensory guide who checked in on me afterward. So glad I did this.Written 18 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
