OMG, what a wonderful experience! Putu and Pasta picked us up at our resort and drove us to their house where we learned to cook 5 Balinese dishes. We learned about the various local ingredients that included herbs, vegetables, greens, roots, nuts, spices, meats and rice. After donning aprons, we proceeded to chop, dice, shred, grind, steam and saute the various items into lovely, tasty dishes. It was very interactive and Putu and her family were very organized, patient, fun and easy to work with. At the end, we filled our plates and enjoyed the dishes we prepared. A thoroughly delightful experience. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a half-day cooking class at the Authentic Bali Farm Cooking School & Organic Farm and was thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Led by the lovely and knowledgeable Kadek, the morning began with a fascinating tour of the local farmer's market, where I was able to learn about and sample a variety of local fruits and vegetables. Kadek was kind enough to purchase some of my favorite snacks and fruits, which I enjoyed for breakfast upon arriving at the farm.

The tour of the organic farm was equally captivating, providing me with the unique opportunity to witness the growth of cinnamon and vanilla trees for the very first time. What made this experience truly special was the fact that I happened to be the only participant that morning, making it a truly personalized and intimate experience. As a solo traveler celebrating my birthday, the warmth and friendliness of the people at the farm made my day all the more memorable.

If you have a passion for local produce and cooking, I highly recommend giving Authentic Bali Farm Cooking School & Organic Farm a try - you won't be disappointed! 🌱🍴👨‍🍳 #AuthenticBaliFarmCookingSchool #OrganicFarmTour #UnforgettableExperience

This was our highlight of our 2 weeks in Bali. An educational and interesting time and the most delicious dinner. Dewa is the kindest most caring generous person. He wanted to ensure we had a special time which we did. I highly recommend this tour. Was 10/10.

I have attended a lot of amazing cooking classes in different countries around the world and this was one of the best. It is super well-organized, efficient, hands-on, and as a guest, you get to create multiple dishes and learn a lot about the ingredients. It is also a beautiful setting to sit down and enjoy a communal dining meal from the food that you made. The owner is engaging, and all of the staff are super friendly and personable. I was so impressed of how much we accomplished in the class. This is highly recommended. I would be surprised if you could find a better cooking class in Bali than this one. Congratulations. And keep up the great work.

I booked this class for my group of 5, seeing the positive reviews. This class did not disappoint - this was the absolute highlight of Bali for all of us, it was AMAZING!

While this class may be on the pricier side of things (relatively) - it was worth every bit of the money we paid. Putu and her family were awesome. They were communicative before the class day, making sure our rides were in order. They came to pick us up exactly at the place & time that was promised.

Then the experience began at a local traditional market, where Putu explained the different cultural aspects and the market items. It was so fun and informative! We even got to pick out some extra fruits that we wanted to try.

We then went to Putu's home - which was beautiful and spacious. We started with trying the various fruits and exploring the home - the weather was nice and sunny at this point.

Then started the cooking in a beautiful outdoor kitchen, shaded perfectly by the canopies of Balinese flora. The space was prepared and cleaned - and the ingredients were all ready to be handled. Each dish was thoroughly explained by Putu, and we completed each from scratch, adjusting the spiciness level as we went. It started raining in the middle, and that made the experience even better (and truly Balinese) as we cooked to the serene sound of the pouring rain.

Then the dishes were completed right on time for lunch - which we enjoyed with a bottle of beer. The food was so yummy and authentic - only because Putu and her family were guiding us through each step. We got to see Putu's chickens and dogs, and my goodness. Words can barely express how amazing this experience was. I've been recommending it to everyone headed to Bali, and if you're looking for an immersive, relaxing and private experience, don't look further!!

Cooking class was well organized. We took a walk through the local market and was introduced to the local products. Then we went to the houshold in the local willage surrounded by rise fields. There on the terrace we cooked 6 most common balinese dishes like sate, curry, soup, black rise pudding and more. All made from fresh vegetables, lots of flavour, very tasty. We would recommend this cooking class to our friends.

Our guide/host Made was very knowledgeable and informative. Trip through the local markets to learn about the ingredients we were cooking with. Then to Made’s beautiful home where we learnt a bit about balinese culture, and got to do the food preparation and cooking part. So interesting, and the food was delicious. A wonderful morning!

My husband and I recently took a Subak cooking class. It was wonderful. The dishes we prepared were delicious and we ate a good dinner at the end. The class is very well organized and easy to follow. We had clear illustrations and good instructions. In addition, the staff works well together. No sooner had we finished one step, than all the dishes were whisked away and washed and the new ingredients appeared at our stations. The classroom area has comfortable stations and unobstructed views of demonstrations. Additionally, we really enjoyed the other participants and had a good time talking together over dinner. After this class, I feel confident we can prepare some of these dishes at home. We enjoyed the class very much.

Kadek and his team made this experience a special time during our stay in Ubud. Can only recommend it, we got a tour around the organic farm where we collected the ingredients for our cooking. Food tasted marvelous and we learned a lot about traditional meal preparation. The meal was accompanied by traditional balinese music, played by Kadek's 11-year old son. Money well spent, as it goes to maintain this organic farm.

I was excited to join a Balinese cooking class and a dinner with a traditional family in their welcoming home 🫶

We started with a tour at the coffee plantation with a little tasting of local teas and coffees and then, headed to the place of their residence, where I learned about using the local ingredients such as galangal, turmeric and lemon grass 🌱

We got our hands dirty and cooked a 7 course meal together using delicious ingredients that we grilled on the coconut shells afterwards 😍

It was such a great experience to learn from the locals and enjoy the delicious flavors of Balinese cuisine 🌺
