- Clare RCheshire, UK178 contributionsWe headed to the beach at night to watch sunset! Grabbed a couple of cold Bintangs and enjoyed the light show as the beach was starting to quieten down for the day. It was just a lovely chilled end to our dayWritten 6 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Suhartono H NgadipawiroSolo, Indonesia1,289 contributionsThe way to beach is good, seems new development, entering the gate and side by side, its pitty there is bad environment un finished building construction. The beach is quite good, huge parking lot, musholla available eventhough need touch up seriously (cleanliness), it is recommended as one of good destination in Bali. We have to tightening schedule since we have to catch up to KECAK DANCE. Thank youWritten 5 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bali Serenity ToursJimbaran, Indonesia27 contributionsBalangan Beach, located on the Bukit Peninsula in the southern part of Bali, is a picturesque haven known for its stunning natural beauty and excellent surf conditions. This beach is a favorite among surfers and travelers seeking a more laid-back and authentic Balinese beach experience.
One of the most striking features of Balangan Beach is its breathtaking scenery. The beach is framed by dramatic limestone cliffs that provide a stunning backdrop to the golden sands and clear blue waters. The elevated viewpoints from these cliffs offer panoramic vistas that are perfect for photography, especially during sunset when the sky is painted with vibrant hues.Written 6 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - alleaJakarta, Indonesia4 contributionsWe got to see beautiful sunset upon arriving early and stumbled to this beach because it is the nearest beach from the airport. We think the people who manage the beach need to take action of the trash lingering around the road to the beach. It is a beautiful beach after all if we clean and manage it with great care.Written 4 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Eka ABeijing, China133 contributionsThis is a fishing village with many local seafood restaurants. There also a local seafood market where you can bargain for the fresh seafood and bring it to the many restaurant nearby to cook to your liking (cooking price around USD 1.5 per kg).

It seems that in the intervening period there has been a lot of investment and it is almost unrecognisable.
We always do a long walk out to the airport and so we’re taken aback at the development. New resorts, new walkway and general improvements in the condition of things and cleanliness.
It was quite a long way from our hotel, but we would definitely consider staying in this area now as it is quiet, but also very beautiful.Written 4 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Clean, nicely shaded, great boardwalk through to Discovery Mall and onward. There has been some serious reclamation and erosion prevention works undertaken, the beach has unfortunately disappeared in this section. Still the remnants of a cremation on the beach when we strolled past.Written 24 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RoseSaint Louis, MO462 contributionsWe dove on the Arenui 2 years ago. We have 1851 dives around the world. We have a Sony 7A in a Nauticam housing with 2 Backscatter Miini 2 Tube Strobes and a 50 and 90 mm lenses. The price was the same for the Tiare as the Arenui. We thought that fewer people would make for a better experience. We paid $630.00 for a private guide, assuming we would be left alone to photograph the subjects HE found. Seno, the divemaster, is tired and has no passion for diving. He spent much of the time telling the other dive guide what he found. One time we were left for 10 minutes while he enjoyed the seahorse we never saw. The dive sites were terrible. They didn’t pay for the good ones that we’d seen while on the Arenui. Many were in 74–75-degree water. We asked for a “twilight dive” and it never happened as was promised. They never checked the current before the dives. Everyone seemed to know what was to happen, but us. One woman decided to take control and managed to do so, over an issue she assumed happened and ironically hadn’t. Seno, the cruise director did nothing to change the situation. If anything he made it worse by telling them we wanted them to stay away from us. He even put us in a separate boat, which we hadn’t demanded. 4 of the divers hadn’t been diving for 5 years. The other 2 had very little experience. All had a private guide as they weren’t capable of diving with us. We were told 75’ maximum depth and it was usually 80-90’! I think Seno ran out of air, as after 44 minutes he was at 14’ on one of the dives. We saw little of the macro I’d hoped to see. There were no octopi, flamboyant cuttlefish or pygmy seahorses for example. The rinse tank water wasn’t changed for 5 days. I finally insisted it happened. Our gear wasn’t rinsed after the dives. The condition of the dive boats is appalling. They are old and in ill repair. They are dangerous as the bottom, where the fins must go, isn’t covered with non-skid material. The lift to roll is hard to achieve. The food was very cheap and poorly prepared. It was almost always cold. The cook couldn’t remember what people ate. His attire was not clean. The boat itself is in ill repair. The bathroom flooded when we crossed over rough seas. Taking a shower flooded the room. The wood isn’t varnished. The metal rack for the hand towel that wasn’t changed, is all rusted. The mattress is very old and smells of sweat. The command of English is non-existent. With the exception of 2 dives, it was a total waste of money.Written 20 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
