What an amazing day we had at Waterbom, after 5 years of not being able to go to Bali with Covid. The staff are amazing as always; funny, professional and helpful. They were extremely attentive and safety is a priority. Hiring a Gazebo is an excellent idea. You have a central space, your own private safe and the staff will deliver your food and drinks to you.
We will always come to Waterbom. A day that suits everyone - thrillseekers and non thrillseekers alike!

We went to Waterbom particularly for the Flowrider which my son had done in Cairns at the local swimming pool on a previous trip.
You can only book this experience once inside the park. Go straight there, as they get nooked out. Every session is 30 min for 125k or 200k for 1 hour. Maximum of 10 people on each side of the flow rider which us split down the middle by a blow up partition. People queue up and take turns. Once you fall, you are off and join the back if the queue. It is very popular. The instructors are great. They have boogieboards and wake board type boards. It is the opposite of surfing, so non surfers will do better here, as you put your entire weight in your back foot like snowboarding which is counter intuitive for surfers. 30 min are not long enough to get he hang of it but long enough to have some fun. Careful on how you fall (and you will fall a lot), my son ended up with a very sore neck and back afterwards.

I didn’t plan to go to this waterpark actually but the hotel i stayed in gave me a free ticket. And because i came early at the hotel, couldn’t check in, we decided to go to this waterpark. It wasn’t too crowded, but it has many pool option. It can be an alternative for family holiday at the weekend beside beaches, especially when you bring kids.

This was a good place for us parents to get a rest from the hot bothered kids, park up in a cabana and safely let them run wild. After dragging them from beach to beach surfing all week, the choice was there’s. Just 7min walk from the Kalapa Resort we were at. $7nz each to get in. It’s not ‘A’ class but I think some of the reviews are too harsh. After all we are in Bali. We would got back for sure if we were to stay here again.
