In the month of September we went Govardhan via mathura. Its one of the best destinations related to lord krishna
We have done both parikrama 11 and 10 kms. Walking paths are neat and clean, ro water is free. Toilet facilities is also good. Beware of monkeys, you can take banana or roasted chana for them.
From Mathura a passenger train runs at 7:25 to Govardhan and in return at 4 pm daily.

Every devotee visiting Mathura must go to this place. If you are in a cab or four-wheeler, park it roadside and enter through gate No. 2 as it is nearby. Remember that there is very tight security, and mobiles, bags, belts, smartwatches, coins, and even car keys are not allowed inside. A locker room is available near the gate, but the queue is very long. So, if you have any of these items, you'll need to queue again for the locker room before entering the temple complex.
Inside the complex, there is a temple of Lord Krishna, and darshan for it is in a queue. Following that, the queue leads to the cell where Lord was born. The Krishna Janam Bhoomi has been commemorated by a marble slab marking the exact spot of His birth. After that, visit the five shrines inside the temple complex. There is also a small cave JHANKHI depicting Shri Krishna's life; the entry ticket is Rs. 10, which is also valid for visiting the cave near gate No. 1.

The temple can be reached by walking through the narrow bylanes or by taking an auto, and it is also accessible by boat. We opted for a boat ride at Vishram Ghat, and the boat dropped us near a ghat from where we could visit Dwarkadheesh Temple. It's advisable to leave your footwear in the boat, and the boat will wait for you until you return.
The temple is located less than 100 meters from the ghat. When we arrived at the temple around 4 to 4:30 pm, the darshan was closed. Consequently, we found a spot in front of the temple gate, and when the temple opened after 20-25 minutes, we had a clear view of Dwarkadheesh.

Radhe Radhe, that's the chant you will hear from the time you enter the town and the temple.

Getting there is via e-rickshaw from the base and then a walk. The path to the temple is fair with some steps to get to the main temple concourse.

Patience required to have a good darshan, but there is no crowd management, so its your luck that will get you a good look and blessings. A queue management system would have helped a lot.

A must visit for the followers of Krishna and otherwise to see an old holy temple.

Radha Raman Ji is a famous deity worshipped in Vrindavan, India. Devotees believe that Radha Raman Ji is a form of Lord Krishna. Visiting the temple and experiencing the divine presence of Radha Raman Ji can be a truly amazing and spiritual experience. The serene atmosphere, the devotional chants, and the beautiful deity can leave a lasting impression on one's heart and soul. It's wonderful to hear that you had an amazing experience there!

This temple is near Nidhivan and Vishram Ghat. The timing of the temple is similar to that of other temples in Vrindavan. It features a traditional Gopuram, following the lines of South Indian architecture. The front side of the temple is located at the back of the entry gate, and to reach it, you have to walk alongside the temple wall.
Inside the temple, there is a 15m high pillar dedicated to Lord Ranganatha or Rangaji, depicted as Lord Vishnu in his Sheshashayi pose. Within the temple enclosure, you'll find a water tank and a picturesque garden.

This elephant conservation facility is AMAZING!
The staff here are extremely committed and helpful. They gently educated and informed us the whole time we were there. I can’t express how impressed our whole group was.
The elephants were very obviously relaxed (not stressed as their previous lives) and were well provided and cared for. You could clearly see the elephants each have their own personalities.
Our guide asked us how we would like to commence our visit when we arrived, which was a lovely touch, so we started by sitting and viewing the elephants first.
A word of advice: contact the facility by email first, to arrange your donation and visit time. We were actually met by the person who emailed me regarding our trip.

The shop was also a great way to give further donations.
I cannot recommend this facility enough - the work these brilliant individuals are doing is for the benefit of all.
Thank you WildlifeSOS. I will be donating and visiting again!

The river bank was interesting to visit. At night time about 7pm brings crowds of people. Music is played and people flock to the boats to celebrate religious history.
This place is an authentic ( not tourist) part of India and we enjoyed having a wander. In the day we had a boat trip for about 10 - 15 min ( 100r)
Mathura was interesting but perhaps ideal for a 1 night stop over.
