I was looking for a special piece of jewellery to take home to my wife, something with a timeless elegance to it. Attempts to find such a shop in other cities on my trip had failed. This shop had lots of it, antique, beautiful stones, coral, pearls…

The man in the shop was patient and attentive. In fact, to be able to do so, he doesn’t accept tour groups. I ended up with a necklace of yellow gold beads interspersed between quality pieces of Lapis, which my wife very much enjoyed but there were other items there that I’m sure she would also have loved.

I’d definitely recommend this shop if you’re looking for quality antique Indian jewellery and you’re prepared to pay accordingly. Varanasi is a relatively affluent and expensive town but the item I bought would have cost me several times more if I’d managed to find and buy it in the UK or Europe.

Great collection with great environment. Huge collection of Art and artifacts. The variety of handcrafted items was remarkable, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and skilled craftsmanship of artisans. From intricately carved wooden sculptures to beautifully woven textiles, every piece reflected attention to detail and artistry.
