Loved this place. There is so much history here and so many buildings to see.
Little has changed since the Mutiny of 1858. The ruins amid the gardens is just stunning.
There is also a Asfi mosque on the grounds, and it too looks awesome.
A must do if you are in the area.

Visit chowk to see the real old Lucknow chaos of people and vehicles. Also, the famous Idris biryani is located here. Unfortunately it was closed for renovations.

AMINABAD IS THE OLDEST, CHEAPEST, MOST POPULAR AND CROWDED MARKET OF LUCKNOW. Aminabad is the oldest , most crowded and cheapest market of the Lucknow, located at about 3.5 Kms distance from Charbagh Railway station. One can purchase each and every thing at very competitive rates from the other markets.

The park is clean good place for exercise jog walk and hangout with friends and family. Nice greenery across the park. The park has a very nice Jurassic park inside where children teenagers and all kinds of visitors can enjoy in the evening. Nice place for insta pics. Snacks available for purchase inside the park. Lot of place to sit and hangout inside the park. Good parking space is available for both four wheeler and two wheelers. Nice cycling facility on rent basis available inside the park for exploring the complete park on a cycle.

I was taken as part of an all day tour of lucknow. Its an actual boarding school now for boys. We couldn't go in due to a school holiday but viewed the grounds. The architecture is not typically indian, possibly due started by a Frenchman Claude Martin who started the the school who was well acquainted with the nawabs. His mistress mausoleum is on the grounds and is a remarkable structure.

I was looking fwd to seeing this gate in Lucknow but was little disappointed due to renovations and also the color which looks different on Google and trip advisor. My view was a light terra cotta color and others shows different shades od earth tones. I now believe those were pollution residues and its probably clean now lol. Its still an amazing piece of architecture.

Excellent place. We visited at the time of morning arti. One complaint...... The person singing arti was singing at the pitch of his voice that too on a mike resulting in a cacophony, instead of being beautiful to hear. If he sings, instead of shouting, arti would have been more divine. Pujari ji was much much more better to hear.
