Just visited for the first time. Best advice is hire a guide! We booked an Uber from our hotel in New Delhi to Agra. It was a four and a half hour drive and I would probably take the train next time as both the Uber driver and the 4 times as expensive driver we hired through the hotel for the return trip started dozing off. I am sure they work long hours, but it made for an intense ride and we would have prefered a relaxing train ride. We spent the night in Agra so we could be at the Taj Mahal first thing in the morning when it was cool and there were less people. Our guide had a lot of great information, handled the tipping for us, kept the solicitors at bay, and knew all the best photo spots to take our picture. I was thankful that we hired a guide and would tell all my friends and family to do the same.

We took the Delhi to Agra one-day trip on April 2nd 2022. The excellent (!) driver vishal picked us up at our hotel and took us to Agra in a neat and comfortable car. On the way he stopped several times to let us have a quick glance at some landmarks in Delhi - we really enjoyed that! The ride to Agra took about 3 hours in total and we added a quick stop for breakfast and a coffee somewhere along the way. Once we reached Agra we met our guide haider ali, who took us to the Taj Mahl, the Agra Fort and a craftsmen demonstration of Indian marble and inlay art. Haider was very energetic and we enjoyed our time with him very much. He took a lot of pictures, knew a lot of good spots to take pics and was very knowledgeable about the sights as well. We had lunch at a pretty fancy place for Indian standards and it was also really delicious! At the craftsman's stop we were not pressured to buy anything, but we just had a look around and listened to the demonstration.

We visited SOS Elephant conservation centre with kids. It was a wonderful experience especially for kids to know how SOS efforts are helping Elephants and nature and was very thought provoking for them on what they can do as well for nature.

Reading story of each rescue elephant was very moving and it was great to see SOS doing such an amazing work and we could chip in with small contribution in this big effort.

Highly recommend for family to visit.

Another mausoleum (like the Taj Mahal) but on a smaller scale, you get to see things more up close and personal. And there are no crowds. It is a complex of buildings, also including gates, wells, fountains and gardens. In many ways this is better than the Taj due to the quiet, and ability to see it all up close. One hour is all you’ll need. Do it.

History, art and culture full of interesting stories of the Mughal era. Lovely pictures to take besides the interesting stories and art!

Great views of the Taj without any crowds. But the park has poor access. Parking is bit far, you might want to take a battery operated rickshaw. Park is poorly maintained. A wasted opportunity

We were taken here for a demonstration of marble inlay work. It was interesting to see how this was done and we were then given the opportunity to buy a piece, shipping included.

This place seemed to much fewer visitors than other parts of the fort but we found it peaceful. The knot gardens are well laid out and worth a good walk around early in the morning. Water features were not working when we were there. Cooler too.

We visited Taj and Agra Fort on 6th Nov 2021. Though it was crowded due to Diwali, the presence of Guide Asif made everything comfortable.... He explained everything in a beautiful way... The added advantage was his photographic skills ...

As long as I remembered, I’ve always wanted to travel to India. I fancy India’s long history, delicious cuisine, spirituality, & exotic culture. So when my husband agreed to spend our second honeymoon in India, I urged everything to be well planned & prepared.
Luckily, we had Jittu as our tour guide.
Jittu grasped the kind of vacation we wanted, planned everything well & made sure we were totally indulged. Jittu has good knowledge of the best places to visit, best places to eat, best places to shop, best places to spend the night, & even the best photo spots. Everyday our itineraries are always interesting and hopping places was actually something I really enjoyed because the car provided for us was always sparkling clean, filled with delicious snacks & cold bottled mineral water. Not to mention that our appointed driver, Mr. Gurmeet, has impressive driving skills. Me & my husband always felt safe & comfortable during rides.
I personally think Jittu & Mr. Gurmeet are a great combo, they have great teamwork together in ensuring their guests have a wonderful time in India. They are also lovely people with warm personalities.
I had such a great time in India & I would love to visit India again. When I do, I know who to look for as my tour guide & driver.

We were lucky to meet Sahil at Agra airport when we arrived. He took us to our hotel for a very fair price. Right away we noticed his kind and caring nature aswell as his good English. He offered to drive us while we were in Agra. He was fair, on time, polite, and fun. He drove us to Baby Taj, Mehtab Bagh, Agra Fort, and Taj Mahal. Sanjay, a guide that works with Sahil, accompanied us to Agra Fort and Taj Mahal. Sanjay spoke great English and was very knowledgeable about the history of Agra Fort and Taj Mahal which made the sites much more impressive. Sanjay was very fun and a great photographer, he knows the best spots to shoot the best angles of the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Sahil was also very helpful when we needed phone chargers and more cash. He bought the phone chargers on our behalf to ensure a fair price and took us to the best money exchange in Agra. After two days in Agra we headed to Jaipur where Sahil was more than happy to drive us on the 5 hour journey.

I highly recommend using Sahil and Sanjay's services if visiting Agra. They made our trip fun and stress free.

Thank you Sahil and Sanjay 🙏🏻

I totally love Steps to India as a company and the wonderful time I had in this amazing country. The people like the man Adil Khan who I know well now after our tours was fantastic as with all his fellow support friends. The tours around India from Steps to India was informative educational fun safe and all on time. Not to Indian time. This is certainly one company I truly recommend to anyone.
