- AbfrazMaidstone, UK234 contributionsA visit to what is affectionately known as the ‘Baby Taj’ A beautiful Mughal mausoleum that has been built in perfect symmetry. The craftsmanship has to be seen to be believed as it was all done by hand.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jade S6 contributionsA truly incredible place doing great work to give rescued dancing bears a safe and nurturing place to spend the rest of their lives. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the sloth bears and gave us lots of information about how they provide opportunities to communities who were previously dependent on income from the dancing bears so that they had a source of income that did not put sloth bears through this abuse again. We saw the bears going about their everyday life and this was so special to see. The sanctuary doesn't get many visitors which is such a shame as they are doing amazing work for these animals and are a genuinely ethical animal excursion to do in India. Would visit again and again. Please visit this lovely place.Written 14 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paris P5 contributionsIn this welcoming and colorful café, the ladies running it are just as welcoming and bright. They are acid attack survivors who show us that beauty is more than skin deep; it shines from within. These women are truly beautiful.
The café itself, very clean and quiet, serves both Western and Indian snack-type food as well as a wide variety of beverages. We had a few non-spicy Indian dishes, and they were hot, fresh and delicious. At the attractive gift shop, we also bought some very nice original gifts and souvenirs for our friends back home, while supporting the cause of these women to fight against acid attacks.Written 20 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This whole experience was truly amazing. Sana and her sister were very welcoming, showing us everything they were doing. At the end, we even got henna and try out some sarees. I definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a true Indian experience, with some very real Indian women!Written 6 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
