Our trip to the Taj Mahal is one that I am going to treasure for a lifetime. The Hosteller Agra has to be one of the most comfortable and hygienic hotels I have been to. The staff were extremely helpful and well-mannered. Our driver Suraj da, was not only good at driving, but he was also very knowledgeable. He introduced us to Nafeez bhai, who then became our guide and shared a lot of important insights about the historical monument. He also accompanied us when we visited other historical places in the city and helped us a lot throughout the journey. This journey to the Taj Mahal has had a great impact on me, not just because of the scenic beauty and the knowledge I got to acquire, but also because it restored my belief in humanity as we could interact with so many good individuals.

Well worth a visit. Spent about an hour exploring, fantastic architecture and history. Very crowded but easy to get in and explore. Suggest best way to avoid the queues is to visit with an organized tour. Great attraction.

Wonderful place to visit. True “Baby Taj”: smaller, but with its own beauty and charm. We came right after opening and really enjoyed less crowded and fully exploring the grounds. Loved this place!

We took a day out to go and see the sloth bear and elephant sanctuaries run by wildlife SOS and it was very worth it. The sloth bears clearly have much better lives here than they did before as dancing bears and it's great to see them being rehabilitated and actually getting back to behaving like sloth bears. The staff obviously car deeply for these animals and it shows. The guide we had showing us around spoke very good English, answered any questions that we had and clearly had a strong bond with the bears. If you visit it will be during the day, so remember that sloth bears normally like to sleep at this time so they won't be super active (but this is a good thing as it means that their behaviour is changing from being dancing bears)! 10/10 recommend a visit.

WHEN I walked into one building at Jama Masjid I felt like I was on the set of some Hollywood blockbuster which had created a strange alien environment.
Carved beams criss-crossed overhead with unusual carved decorations beneath each intersection.
It was not the first surprise that a tour of Fatehpursikri would throw at me.
Jama Masjid is a 16th century mosque, one of the largest in India, and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The courtyard is gigantic, covering more than 230,000 sq ft.
Be warned. You have to take your shoes off to be allowed in, women must wear long gowns and men in shorts will be asked to wear a wrap which can be hired at the entrance.

There are Sheesh Mahal, or palaces of mirrors, in Amer, Lahore and Orchha. The one in Agra Fort is less impressive than others, but still worth a visit - if only for the beautiful pietra dura flowers in the white marble. And, anyway, you've paid your ticket into Agra Fort, so may as well.

Mehtab Bagh is realy good specially either in early morning and evening. Taj Selfie point is also near by [This is maintained by UP Government]. But parking to this place is not well mainitaned. even fater paying Rs 100 for car parking, you have to either walk for ~1km or shell out another 100Rs for local autos. Where as locals, Government Vehicles can go close to both Mehtab Bagh and Taj Selfie point.

On my visit, the majority of attendees were locals coming to pray and worship at this Sikh temple. The premises are well maintained, be prepared to remove your footwear to enter the temple.

The Shah Burj (also known as the Musamman or Muthamman Burj) is a domed tower that was built sometime in 1632-1640 CE at Agra Fort by Shahjahan, on the site of an earlier similar structure built by Akbar. The Shah Burj was the site of the jharokha-e-darshan, a 'window' from which the emperor would provide his subjects a daily morning view of himself, to reassure them of his safety and well-being. In Jahangir's time, this also became the site where a thick metal chain was attached, reaching to the ground and allowed to be pulled by whoever wished to appeal to the emperor's sense of justice: the 'adl-e-Jahangir'.

The Sabz Burj offers a fine view of the Taj Mahal. Shahjahan, imprisoned in the chambers beside the Burj by his son and successor Aurangzeb, is supposed to have looked longingly out at the distant view of the mausoleum he had built for his empress.

Dayal Bagh seemed a welcome change- a Remarkably calm and peaceful oasis in midst of madness of the bustling city of Agra. The newly completed temple is worth a visit

This was an excellent experience in a local village with a guide who lives in the village. It was interesting to see how people live, some of the work & hear stories about day to day life in the village. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, spoke very good English & was happy to answer all of our many questions. Everyone in the village was friendly & happy to see us. Revenues from visits contribute towards community projects like improved sanitation & monthly health clinics.
