- martina sOrsago, Italy4 contributionsMe and my friend had a really good experience with this tour and our guide: the driver came pick us up at the hotel on time, water was available and he was very welcoming and helpful when we asked questions about the city. Our tour guide was extremely prepared and gave us a lot of information both from the mythology and religion and from the historical and anthropological perspective which we really appreciated. He was also available to guide us to gift shopping when we asked.
The tour comprised two main temple sights in Madurai, the raja palace and Gandhi museum, but also few quick stops at the fruit and banana market and the terra cotta artigianal shops in the outskirts of the city.

Being able to watch the ceremony at night was amazing and completely mesmerizing! - Rajamohan patna... SSrikakulam, India20 contributionsMeenakshi Amma darsan... we have had blessed darsan of Amma twice in one day. Next day morning we left for Rameswaram. Halted on the Pamban bridge for a few minutes and reached Rameswaram. Had blessed darsan of Ramanathan Swamy four times in two days of our stay there. No phones in the temple so be prepared to leave them in a shop where tou will feel somewhat pressured to buy stuff afterwards. But nice guys and not too much of a hard sell. The AIP team are so amazing and really helpful with sorting you out for work / travel plans, and Mr.Deepak was the best tour planner ever. He took me to the temple area and the ghost city and the see. After that I had an excellent lunch (on my fees) in a small, local fish restaurant. His access to the inner areas of the Meenakshi Amman temple was the highlight of the tour. We visited a variety of places and I was able to discover parts of temples that I wouldn’t have known about on my own. Overall, I found this tour to be very informative and interesting, and a great way to understand more about the richness of Madurai.
