Not very convenient. But humbling, as our soldiers bear through this all the time. Slippery slopes, so must take right boots, wear layers of clothing. Closes anytime, at our time, it closed 2:30 pm, so go as early as possible.

Avoid this place till the roads are repaired. The current detour is 55km longer with narrow and treacherous roads. It took 9 hours each way to cover 175 km. We were lucky. Others have taken 12-14 hours after getting stuck in traffic jams. Also, i strongly recommend staying here for 2 nights to really enjoy lachung. Travel agents recommend 1 night. But that's just very tiring. The trip from lachung to yumthang and zero point is 6 hours itself. And at that height it takes time to acclimatize. Even walking 10 steps will leave you breathless.

The view was so beautiful but i had some problems due to the lack of oxygen thankfully one of the checkpoints told us to buy a can. Do bring you're oxygen cans especially if you have kids but the views were worth it.

Fantastic views and a wonderful place to visit. Stay a night here to minimize the tiredness as you would need to cover Namchi en route to Pelling or Siliguri.
Mom's kitchen inside the park is a fantastic restaurant with awesome views. We are chowmein and momos. It is a pure veg restaurant. 😌

This is unmissable. Falls on the way from Tsomogo Lake to Nathu La pass. Children and elders enjoyed equally. Typically one spends less than half hour here

The zoo has some nicely laid out large enclosures for most animals. It’s set in a natural forest which makes for a pleasant walk. The walk is hard work at places so plan accordingly.

We reached Ranka monastery during the evening and there were not many tourists at the place. However the monastery is beautiful and huge as it has various complexes for the monks inside. The prayer room is a must visit for the beautiful paintings and Budha statue along with the peace and calm it brings. The golden stupa and praying wheels are also beautiful additions to the monastery. A must visit.

Banjhakri waterfalls are quite popular among tourists and has a good atmosphere around it. The path to the falls is beautiful with several installations and viewing points on the way which are fun to see. The falls are huge with high pressure water falling in steps. You can go very close to the falls which is an added advantage. There were several adventure activities like zip line and an artificial lake for boating as well in the park that has the falls.
