The Maharana Pratap Museum is a treasure trove dedicated to the legendary Rajput warrior king. Nestled near the Haldighati battlefield near Nathdwara, the museum itself isn't architecturally grand, but what it lacks in frills, it makes up for in content.

Inside, you'll find weapons, armour, and paintings that bring the story of Maharana Pratap's fight against the Mughal rule to life. Interactive exhibits and a light & sound show make learning about this historical period engaging, even for kids.

Owned and run by two of the most beautiful people my memories of this place remain firmly embedded. I visited Udaipur and Gothwal a year ago with my daughter. We visited Gothwal Art two or three times, as we were staying nearby. Quality work, lovely lovely people with big hearts. I recall I even enjoyed tea at their shop. In the end I purchased two pieces of work which have taken me a year to get around to framing. We also purchased some small cards, one to give to our driver with our gift for looking after us for a couple of weeks. I could not recommend this establishment high enough and would love to return one day. :). Date of visit January 2023

Diving into Indian cooking was such a wonderful time with Mamta! I learned a lot and enjoyed myself with her and her beautiful family. The food we made was delicious and I will definitely cook the dishes at home when I miss India and Udaipur so much again.
A wonderful experience, I would love to come back!

Excellent moment spent at Kadir’s shop. Great selection of kashmir and pachemina perfect for a gift to bring back home.
Kadir is super kind and really helpful to pick the best item.

We had such a fun afternoon learning about the local craft of miniature painting. My husband and I both picked 2 different designs and we were both patiently taught step by step how to recreate the artwork in the style but all by our self. It was a great activity to do together, even if you don’t normally do artwork or think it’s something you’d enjoy. I’d recommend giving it a try and this is the best place to do it for sure.

My husband and I both took a sitar class together for an hour. We felt so welcome and were able to choose a time to suit us. We spent most of the class learning the sitar together, playing together and playing solo too. We also tried the Indian flute. It was so fun and we learnt a lot. We highly recommend taking a class and at the very least, definitely paying a visit to the shop!

I did two morning classes and as an experienced practitioner I found them fun and challenging. Prakesh’s sharp commands are hard to follow at first but he is surprisingly gentle and encouraging when you try your best to do the pose. I agree with some other reviewers that beginners or those with injuries may not enjoy the class, but as with all yoga you must know your own limits and not be guided by ego to push beyond your comfort level. I was surprised by how much I could do and left each class with a sense of accomplishment and an uplifted spirit from the laughing yoga close

Our Udaipur trip was made more pleasant thanks to amazing cab service provided by Sajid. What started as just a single drop off from railway station to our hotel, was finally converted to a full 3 day city tour with Sajid till finally dropping us to the railway station on the final day.. He is very punctual and very accommodating. His Car ( Toyota Etios ) was extremely clean with very neat and clean seat covers which also enhances your travelling experience. He Guides you very well and you feel very relaxed with him. Highly recommend him to those who are arriving to the city for the first time looking for a city and even outside city tour cab service.

What an amazing experience. With Dhananjay as my guide we cycled and two of Udaipur’s lakes and country roads with a stop for marsala chai. The scenery was excellent and despite India’s road reputation I felt safe with Dhanajay’s guidance. The hotel pick up was on time and there was a comprehensive pre ride briefing. I can strongly recommend going on a bicycle ride with them.

We had an enriching and fun experience. Me and my wife are from India and we were skeptical about the walk that whether its for foreigners only who would more enjoy it but would like to say that it is a must do for every indian traveller as well. Pushpendra is a thorough gentleman and an excellent insider guide for the interiors of udaipur as he himself belongs to the royal family. He could also squeeze us in for a lovely lakeside dinner for our anniversary. Many thanks to him.
