Lake Pichola boat ride offers a wonderful glimpse of the Udaipur City Palace and the beautiful Jal Mahal. Though the boat ride is expensive at 800 INR it is worth spending the money especially in the evenings during sunset time for the stunning views and surrounding scenes.

Animals Aid Unlimited are doing an amazing job. As someone with some years of experience of NGO work, I can confidently say that this place is pretty well organized. Next to their actual rescue work (which some people in the review section seem to forget, is their primary function) they give insightful tours.

For any tourist to India, if you have 2-3 hrs in Udaipur to spare, visit the center and learn why there are so many street dogs in India, how Cows are really treated in commercial dairy farms and how animal rights are neglected. It is totally worth the visit and does not cost you a dime. Come and learn.

thank you guys and keep up the good work!

Fateh Sagar Lake offers a wholesome experience with boating, food stalls and an excellent aquarium. Parking and crowd is an issue at peak hours, but still this place offers more value than Pichola Lake.

For visitors, a long lens on your camera is a must to get the best out of your visit.
A rigid litter-free zone like this is rare in India.
Most animals have good-sized enclosures here.

In recent times this not so usual view point at Badi Lake has become very popular. The main reason is the gorgeous view it offers. It may not be at par with Horseshoe Bend but it has its unique charm. Vehicles do not reach this spot so a small climb over unpaved and dirt path is necessary. The climb is not very strenuous and anyone with average fitness should be able to manage. I saw people going their wearing sandals but I will suggest close shoes to avoid possible ankle twist. Once you reach the top you will find the effort is worth it. To get a better view one needs to climb down towards the edge but if one is careful then it is doable without any problem.
I found one elderly person sitting at the beginning of the walk who informed me that there is a INR 20 entry fee. He also issued a receipt for the money. There are few tea stalls on the way and there is one at the top also.
Although the view was magnificent, what saddened me was that the entire area was littered with empty plastic water bottles, food wrappers and similar garbage. It is really shocking that we are going there to enjoy nature's beauty and at the same time dumping our garbage to make the place look dirty.
If anyone reads this review then my sincere request is please don't leave anything behind and if you have to throw anything then use the dustbins.

Full of greenery and lots of birds and squirrels, But not well maintained. Could spend some peaceful time. There is a play area for kids, Should be improved to make it an attractive place. Did not see any Rose plants here.

I went during the off-season (June time), just after sunrise and it was fairly quiet (bar a couple of wedding shoots). Lake Badi is super gorgeous and definitely worth a visit.

A garden in the middle of Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur. You access by boat which just takes a few minutes. Area is unfortunately well past its best with all the water features empty and not working, buildings closed and in a state of decay. Actual garden is well tended but not very interesting. Could be really nice, but needs a lot of money spending on it! Nice boat ride and views.
