The Mehrangarh Fort stands guard above Jodhpur's old town district. The massive structure rises some 393 feet over the surrounding city. It's free to stroll around the fort; however, there's an admission for the onsite museum.

This relatively modern palace, finished in 1944, is an elaborate structure. Once solely a royal residence, it is now part palace, part museum and part hotel. Our guide rushed us through it in about half an hour. You could stay longer, perhaps an hour, and read more of the displays in depth.

Excellent. Must do this tour. It’s a private tour and not of the typical places but more meandering nooks and crannies. Bantu is very knowledgeable and kind. It’s the perfect length and the perfect amount of information.

It is located next to Jaswant Toda. A good place to explore in nature. There are some trails to explore the park and observe the surrounding natural beauty. Early morning visit is recommended to enjoy the natural beauty under cool and calm weather.

Just in the middle of the old town you find this incredible very well kept “well”. Plenty of chipmunks climbing the walls and spread all around.

We took a miniature painting class experience here (budget two to three hours), the professor Mr. Vijay who is also known as the lentil man (miniature painting on lentil) was patience and talented, he even drawn a lentil for each of us on our finished work. Also browsed through the workshop, the works here is very exquisite compared to those we have seen elsewhere.

This fine old clock, installed in the early 1900s, is a local landmark, and was ahead of its time in Rajasthan when it was installed. View it from the market.

We stayed for 3 days in Chotaram Prajapat Haveli , Jodhpur. Ambience, hospitality, food , Chottaram's family were awesome. We bought hand woven carpets which are very beautiful. Chotaram ji wish you all the best . 🙏

This town square is so crowded that it is only accessible by tuk tuk or one can be dropped off by car outside the gate. The clock tower itself is interesting to see, but that’s it – nothing to be in awe of.
Organized chaos and sensory overload is a good description of the activity here.
There is a large vegetable market that many locals shop at. There are also some shops for textiles, leather, clothing etc.. Even though they say fixed prices, do make an offer. We got about 20% off our purchases.
Overall we had a good experience here and would recommend spending 1-2 hours exploring - depending on how much you want to shop.
