- Kapil S6 contributionsThe fort is protected by walls measuring 118 ft in height and 69 ft in width, and still houses several palaces, known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. The fort has a museum, that has preserved a vast collection of paintings, costumes, arms and ammunitions from the Rathore rulers.Written 25 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dirk WAlexandra Headland, Australia6,170 contributionsSurprisingly, Jaswant Thada is only just over 100 years old. A cenotaph for Maharaja Jaswant Singh, it serves as the cremation ground for the royal Rajput family of Marwar. The striking feature is the thin, white, high quality Makrana marble which was used for its construction. It seems to glow and sparkle in the sunlight.
The cenotaph sits in the middle of nice gardens and there are other fine structures and gazebos around.
Inside there's nothing much to see (other than the portraits of past rulers), but the whole complex is very picturesque and good for a relaxing walk around.Written 28 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alessandra M16 contributionsWe entered Mr. Vijay's workshop by chance and we didn't know it was going to be such an enriching experience. Mr. Vijay is an artist and a very lovely person, he made us feel very welcome and introduced us to his art and school without pressuring us to buy anything, just for the pleasure of sharing his world with us. He gave us a glimpse of his skill by painting an elephant on a split lentil. His work is truly inspiring! I we had more time we would have loved to take a painting class.

Beautiful place to visit with friends, family and especially kids. Its a nice place to hike and have morning walk and for bird watching.
And yes not to forget the flying fox which starts and ends at Mehrangarh but covers this rock park. The park gives a walk through nature and the walls of the old fort. It also boasts of a wonderful view of the fort from the hind side. Beautiful place to spend some morning times and also for bird watching in winters.Written 28 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
