- Gareth CLos Angeles, CA513 contributionsThe Mehrangarh Fort stands guard above Jodhpur's old town district. The massive structure rises some 393 feet over the surrounding city. It's free to stroll around the fort; however, there's an admission for the onsite museum.Written 11 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EC13091Ellicott City, MD1,783 contributionsThis relatively modern palace, finished in 1944, is an elaborate structure. Once solely a royal residence, it is now part palace, part museum and part hotel. Our guide rushed us through it in about half an hour. You could stay longer, perhaps an hour, and read more of the displays in depth.Written 25 February 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - lightningboyVancouver, Canada3,109 contributionsThis town square is so crowded that it is only accessible by tuk tuk or one can be dropped off by car outside the gate. The clock tower itself is interesting to see, but that’s it – nothing to be in awe of.
Organized chaos and sensory overload is a good description of the activity here.
There is a large vegetable market that many locals shop at. There are also some shops for textiles, leather, clothing etc.. Even though they say fixed prices, do make an offer. We got about 20% off our purchases.
Overall we had a good experience here and would recommend spending 1-2 hours exploring - depending on how much you want to shop.Written 12 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
