This tour conducted by Prajapati family gives a good insight into the rural life of Bishnoi and other communities residing in different villages. We also saw from close quarters, peacocks, peahen, kingfisher, deer, blackbuck and blue bull. We also enjoyed doing some pottery and witnessed block printing and rug weaving by village artisans. It was a very enjoyable experience. The tour ended with village food cooked on slow fire. which was a treat.
Our escort & guide, Ashok Prajapati, was very courteous, well versed with the history of the place and took us to all the right places so that we could cover so much in just about 5-6 hours.
He also offers homestay facilities, which seemed quite comfortable, though we did not stay there.
The family also makes dhurries of cotton, coir and camel wool, using natural colors. the designs were very attractive.
Highly recommend this tour.
