- Kevin S4 contributionsA great way to get from Jodhpur to Udaipur and see interesting sights along the way. The Jain temple at Ranakpur is fantastic but the fort at Kumbhalgarh is just stunning.
Our driver, Manohar, pointed out lots of things along the way and drove safely and smoothly. He even sorted out a 3-wheeler for us when we reached Udaipur as we were still in the old town, where cars don't have access. Would definitely recommend. The car is really big and spacious and he didn’t use his horn at all which was really nice. It was a really hot day and they were super accommodating with letting us take a break inbetween site seeing and the camel safari. Definitely wear sport shoes as the walk down to the blue city is steep. Mr Alok was a great photographer as well! - Explore302231871851 contributionWe had so much fun at the peaceful Osian village. They picked us up at the airport and from there we went to Rajasthani temple in Osian. Then traveled further into his village on Jeep. Food and accommodation was great. - john o27 contributionsThis was our 2nd trip to Jodhpur and Pawan our guide excelled in showing us so many things that Jodhpur has to offer. We walked around the markets near the clock tower, visited the blue area, the jewellers area where they work from home, the stepwell, a specialist spice, tea and perfumery shop and an old haveli. We sampled local foods and enjoyed them immensely. We went to Bishnoi Village this morning in an open jeep. The locals made pottery from scratch using ancient methods handed down from generation to generation and we watched weavers weave carpets that were stunning to the eye. Our driver from the village was also great and he welcomed us to his home to share his family's skills. Pawan has a love for his city and his country plus culture and we would thoroughly recommend him if you go to Jodhpur to show you around.

Without Bantu we wouldn’t have known where to go to see the best of the blue houses and alleys. He is super knowledgeable about Jodhpur and other cultural knowledge etc. We even finished with the best samosa & Lassi in town! He has so much knowledge & information to share... So polite, pleasant & caring for everyone experience..... Prabhat's knowledge of the history of Jodhpur, the Royal families, Mehrangarh Fort, Umaid Bhawan Palace and Madore Gardens, was very interesting for a history buff such as myself.
Ray and Prabhat picked me up at my hotel on time and we had a pleasant day exploring the city. They were able to change plans due to the heavy rains that prevented us from going to the desert, which I appreciated very much.
Great value for the money! Only thing I’d say is keep some entertainment around for the desert portion during sunset. Might get bored just sitting around. Lost in the city, we usually forget to experience the true flavour of Rajasthan. Our day was filled with spotting interesting endemic flora and fauna while surrounded by peacocks. The activities that he acquainted us with such as block printing and pottery truly amazed me. It was not staged at all. We visited houses of local artisans and saw them create art. We visited his own house where his family works as weavers and saw how beautifully they bring such art forms to life. Followed by this his wife put before us one of the most delicious and true flavours of Rajasthan for lunch. I can never forget the taste of that curry and bajre ki roti. It was a wholesome trip which dominated the first half of the day. The weather was pleasant which added to the beauty. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to go beyond the city and explore what a Rajasthani village feels like.
